It feels like both a number 9 and someone to replace Xhaka are both really needed. I'm not even convinced we will even try to fix one of those areas let alone both. What I would say is if we bring in a number 9 that will fix another issue which is having sufficient cover on the righthand side with Jesus able to play there if he's fit. So I think that is where I would spend the money if we even intend to do anything. I still think at least short term you can give either Smith-Rowe assuming he's fit or Vieira the Xhaka position until the end of the season and see what they do with it. If it doesn't work then get a replacement but don't give these players a game here and there give them what Havertz has had so far this season he's had every chance to perform in that position and he hasn't done it.

Vermeeren links definitely seem to be strong, but even with the hype it does seem a stretch for an 18 year old playing in the Belgium league to come in January and being immediately impactful.

Brentford obviously will play hardball and there will be enough interest for the price to be driven up for Toney. Not confident of that happening in January, although I think he probably wants it.

The bar is set so low at the moment with Havertz just having someone midly competent in that position would be an improvement. I don't know much about this player from Belgium apart from that he seems he's rated quite highly is he gonna be better than either Smith-Rowe or Vieira right now that is the question. One thing I am certain about is that I'm fed up of watching Nketiah he is so limited and it just shows up so much more when we are playing away.

I liked Dani Ceballos at Arsenal. But this capital is over and closed now. Dont think we would.

Also read the rumour about the 18 year old boy Vermeeren. Can't really judge on him but he is a young boy playing in Belgium. Premier League is a different thing. We need someone who has experience and click immediately.
