He's been superb this season. It was a stupid tackle and deserved red, but was made in desperation rather than with malice.

Hopefully he'll learn from this.

Have a nice slice of humble pie you old, deluded b’stard

Go ahead and filter away you coward

Annoying part is Romero has been brilliant and composed all season so far. Reverted to type big time

Udogie should have got sent off himself but he is at least young. Romero is old enough to know better. Cost us big time at a crucial point in the game.

He’s been amazing all season Sandy. I’ve got more of an issue with Udogie. He doesn’t dive in with both feet for that first yellow and the mood doesn’t change. I’m convinced we’d have won that game without that one incident. Changed everything. Also Romero’s was a follow through. They’re not reckless, more unfortunate. Give him a break. He’s been brilliant all year.

Defence now decimated in one night though.

Also, such amazing heart shown tonight. Those that remained on the pitch deserve so much credit.

Question fridgeboy.

Now what we both predicted a week ago has happened, do you still feel the same? Baring in mind a win for you was guaranteed if you'd reverted to Mourinho/Conte tactics for just this one match?

Fridge, don't want to see Romero again in a Spurs shirt. He is a disgrace to the club.

No, I’d always want us to stick to our principles. Let’s be honest, it wasn’t tactics that lost us these games. It was 2 moments of stupidity by individuals who haven’t let us down all season.

That’s why I think Sandy should go easy on Romero. He’s been brilliant all year. Yes, it’s stupid but look, we’re 2nd in November. We’d have taken that all day long at the start of the season.

Sorry Fridge that Keent Romero has been sent of four times in his short Spurs career now. He was 100 per cent responsible for that defeat tonight, and hope the other players give it to him big time.

Cool

However it was tactics that lost you that game, I'm sorry. Even at 10 men I was impressed, won't lie, but with 9 men it was suicidal. Would've been difficult but against us right now far from impossible.

But the crucial element was the 9 men, not the tactics.

If we kept 11 on the pitch we were looking like winning that at a canter, Chelsea couldn't get near us.

Nah, was looking like a high scoring draw to me. We actually looked better before you went to 9 men, we were choking under the pressure of knowing a game was in our hands, doesn't happen often

It really wasn’t. It was going down to 9 that did it. It was always a matter of time before you scored. Yes, it was kamikaze but we wouldn’t have got anything from that game had we sat in. No chance. It would have gone in eventually. I just love that we now have a clear identity and if we have 11 v 11, we’re gonna win a lot more than we lose. I’ll take results like tonight if that’s what it takes. I hate flip flopping tactically. It breeds indecision. At least by having one one, one identity, it keeps things really simple for the players, who love playing this way.

Yeah fair enough, good point via the flip flopping

However I think you're strongly underestimating how bad we are vs. low blocks. Even with 9 men you could've held out for half an hour.

I agree, with nine just sitting back Spurs would have lost anyway. At least they had a go, so I had no problem with the high line.

Whether you lose 2-1 or 10-1, it's still a loss.

I doubt it mate. But 11 v 11, the game would have been out of sight by half time. That's the worse Chelsea side this century. And thanks to that cretin Romero, he handed them the game on a plate.

Spurs would have put that game to bed before halftime with 11 players. Chelsea got extremely lucky. Fair enough you took advantage of the situation.
