You have to look at the opposition despite it being a miracle. They also dropped him twice.

You have to look at all sports though. There have been some really unbelievable WWE victories that should be up there.

Afghanistan are a decent side and would give most teams a tough game. And in most great innings you can point to a bit of luck. But throw in the fact he played with injuries and cramp it was truly one of the greatest ever cricketing performances.

I find it hard to assess the Bolt run because he's obviously insanely good but I also refuse to believe he wasn't on some form of performance enhancers.

Can we focus on some British triumphs?

Andy Murray Wimbledon 2013
Paul Lawrie Open Champion 1999
Chris Hoy 6 Olympic Golds
Olympic golds in the curling in 2002 and 2022
European cup winners for the first time in 1967

So many British successes that we could focus on.

Stephen Hendry winning the 1991 Masters final against Mike Hallett after trailing 7-0 then 8-2. He hung on and hung on to win 9-8.
Stephen Hendry winning the 1992 World championship final against Jimmy White. He was 14-8 down and won 10 frames in a row to win 18-14.
Luca Brecel beating Si Jiahui in the 2023 World championship semi final. Luca trailed 14-5 and the match was virtually over! Luca somehow turned things around to win 17-15. Best ever comeback in Snooker history for me!

The amount of hours you would need to put in in the gym to perform at that kind of level in a darts match deserves a huge amount of respect. These darts athletes are capable of physical feats that we can only dream of.
