50% support her stance of banning the demonstrations, with 34% against, so it seems she speaks for the majority. Personally, I think they should be allowed; you can't ban demonstrations if they are peaceful or you are throwing away a basic right to free speech.

Interestingly, the most spineless and flip-flopping politician in history has just called Sunak spineless for not sacking her. Pot meets kettle?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The questions are: what’s the chances of the demonstration becoming violent?

What’s the chance they will disrupt the proceedings on the most solemn weekend in the U.K.?

If either of those things happen she will be vindicated.

Sunak has a very difficult decision to make. He won’t make it before Monday though.

Sacking her isn’t enough tbh. She should really be assassinated tbh. Or at least have her tongue and fingers removed so she can’t communicate with the rest of the world anymore

You do realise you could be charged for that post!

All the right wing nut jobs that she is after will be supporting Farage when he rejoins the Tory party. So she’ll be left with nothing.

The only way a peaceful march will turn violent is if Bravermans foot soldiers, like the EDL or Football lads alliance turn up to cause confrontation. I suspect she is praying this will happen.

A poll of 2,000 people in a country of 60 million doesn't mean she speaks for the majority at all.

Going by the comments on here, I doubt 5 per cent of the country either like or support her.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The trouble is that the media message has already gone out that people marching in support of brown people is an insult to Britain's war dead.
Very few people have the ability to think critically. They don't stop to think hang on why exactly is it disrespectful to our war dead again? They just accept it. It's the people who have the power to think for themselves who go out and march, and that's what winds Braverman up, seeing 100s of 1000s of people marching against Israel and only a few dozens marching for Israel. She can't understand it and sulks about it like the spoiled brat she is.

By the way there are so many good Jewish Israelis and good people who have love for Israel, and I don't mean to criticise them at all, and I feel for them at this time too.

Definitely. Reading between the lines I saw that reference in her speech to police being much harsher on far right extremists as a call to arms.

Add me to that list then.

On both the EDL and her prayers, whatever they are.

She only cares about herself so she wants to be proven correct.

100 per cent that is her plan. Her mates are the Tommy Robinson`s of this world. She spouts hate, like he does at every turn. Farage, Robinson and some of her right wing looney MPs like Lee Anderson, Rees-Mogg etc are all racists. They just like to dress it up, they are representing normal people. They are not.

Fair point. I guess the immediate attention in regards the ongoing deaths is given to the direct current cause rather than a past chain of events. And in terms of the general history of mistreatment of Palestinians, Hamas is not the cause of that. But your point has some value imo, and perhaps it's something which the protestors might take into account to attract (even) wider support and detract from those who portray them ignorantly, dishonestly and provocatively as an evil mob which is contrary to British values.

And I think also I have used the words "against Israel" when really that should be against the Israeli extremist government by the way. I certainly don't wish ill to the people of Israel anyway, as I'm sure most others don't.

The football firms are talking about joining allegiances in a counter "protest".

This will go well. We will get violence, she knows that. That's what happens when you get 100s of boozed, up, charlie snorting peanut brains running the government though.

There is a small group of right wing nutters going from my village " to defend the Cenotaph " and "the right to wear a poppy" - completly fabricated threats - the irony of protesting against an demonstration calling for an Armistice on Armistice day will be lost on them

exactly.
right wing extremists "defending" britain's war heroes against people marching for peace.
it defies belief.

They’re defending statues actually. Statues they won’t be able to get near because the police will be there.

You have highlighted an important fact in this conflict. Neither Israel nor Palestine are possessed of governments which serve their respective interests best.

It should also be recognised that the 80 year old dispute between the two states will not be solved in the white heat of the current situation, where atrocious and deliberate barbarity was intentionally inflicted on Israeli civilians by Hamas, causing untold (but not unexpected) carnage on their own population by the IDF.

One problem at a time. What must be done is for Israel to vote in a more moderate administration and for Hamas to be taken out of the equation, so both states are represented by governments more focussed on finding a lasting two-state solution.

She’s completely wrong calling them hate marches, and as Home Secretary she shouldn’t be undermining the police. There definitely is some truth in what she said however, that the police go easier on some groups than others.
