I think Gil will surprise a few given a run of games

Full of tricks and good on the ball ….it’s physically he looks a bit weak but only prem games will sort that

Modric , built similar, needed ages to adjust

I don't mind giving Gil a go. He did alright in his last brief stint.

Just give a few of the fringe players a try to see if they step up. Use the Wolves game as an audition.

Might as well start a competition winner than Gil. Don't mind him coming on a sub if we are 2 nil up and camped in the oppo half, but starting him means him getting bullied off the ball and starting counter attacks for the oppo.

Abit like starting Kulu in the 8 role. Some fans are on another level lol.

The worst thing is that we have spent close to £100m on Gil and GLC and they are considered fringe quality and not good enough. But we're going to have to start relying on these guys. They don't have to be given a full 90 though.

Like I said above, tempted to say Veliz up front see if he can do anything. At least he has physical attributes Gil doesn't have.

We're going to have to rely on Vic, Son, and Bissouma carrying the team a bit. These are our big players now.

Agree with Sandy here but Bents has looked well off the pace.

Bents will be fine. He plays at a fairly leisurely pace anyway. I thought he did well against Chelsea midweek.
