Yes it’s now how we can land this perfect start plane with least damage!

Anytime you use Dier and Davies i your sure, you’re actually sending out a mayday call 👍

I know it's only a small part of your article that this reply relates to, but why does Davies get put into these lists time and time again? It's lazy.

IMO I thought Davies was one of our better players yesterday. I'd definitely keep him in the squad for moments like these.

He’s not good enough for this league imo
He’s totally one trick pony and the fact that someone like Udogie walks into the dude he’s available tells everything about Davies.

He goes to sleep on setpieces and offers nothing going forward. Our attack is so blunt with him in the side.
He’s better than Dier defensively but we need more fro. our defenders as play a high line game.

Think we need urgently to play a few home games against relegation fodders and win 1-0 to look good 😄

Very harsh. Yea he isnt Udogie, granted. But he is a solid back up player in our squad. He played CB yesterday (not even his favourite position) and did very well. Id argue he was our MOTM. He is absolutely good enough as a squad player.

Don't think you will sign anyone in January. Obviously they aren't going to broadcast what is available in terms of funds but I think there were at least a couple of publications saying you've got no money and the Kane money was retrospectively spent in the summer. Given how your board operates it's entirely possible that they won't commit to anything given at the moment you are non playing European club and there is no guarantee you will be back in Europe next season let alone the Champions league. If you were ten points clear in January that might be a bit different and they could very well have taken a leap of faith but if you fall down league which is possible if yesterday is anything to go by they could be even less inclined to spend big.

He played well but that’s not what we need though. We need the right type of players for the system. He’s better than Dier defensively and I said that but he isn’t a player for top half of the league
Yesterday almost every player had a bad day at the office from the knock on effect from Monday which was only days before.
We need quality in depth not played wo will just do.

Yes pretty much.
Levy ain’t going to spend in normal window so can’t see him spend during the most expensive one.

Though we are in a. very good potto claim the 4 or 5th spot deffo we need to start winning but Wolves are no mugs and they can give other teams a tough game.
Let’s review the positions by Xmas to know whether baldy will open his wallet or not.

From what I get from internal sources, there is a January plan being drawn up to shore up the defensive frailties from not having VDV, Romero and Udogie that has surfaced now.

It could be Ange will be a different guy to hoodwink with promises by Levy. Spurs with those players on the field were unbeaten and only lost their unbeaten record when all those players left the field against Chelsea who literally played against no defenders.

At least, Ange does not whinge like other managers, about their injury list. 4 key players are out - not a single whinge from Ange
Not a single complaint about VAR or officials who are trigger happy to card Spurs players but do let other clubs get away without carded them.
Swings and roundabouts so I am expecting in the new year a few of the top 5/6 to get some awful bad luck to them

OP

For what it is worth I agree that the season is on hold until 2024.

It is clear that Spurs going into games now with a combination of Dier, Davies, Emerson, Skipp, PEH, Lo Celso, Gil etc are not going to be getting many wins, if any, even against the very weakest in the division.

Not sure Levy can be blamed for an unprecedented injury and suspension list. No owner can be held responsibe for losing four of its better players in a 20 minute spell on Monday. To lose both your main CBs, one through injury, one through stupidity, at the same time is not down to Levy.

I suspect Spurs may well be about 8th at the beginning of January. Hopefully though the gap will not be that big, that with a fully fit squad, the ground cannot be made back up.

Davies is OK as a squad player. The probem at least until January, is Davies and Dier are going to be first team regulars. Therein lies the problem. Very few points with those two in the side.

It didn't take long for the melt down to start on here once we lost a. game or two.

Okay big deal we be lost two games all season so far yes two same as Man City, yes the VDV and Maddison injuries are a big miss but we have players that can do a job , it's not there fault they've not played in months come in and have a bad game, concentration was required and due to lack of game time it went missing at the last minute.

The back four needs to consist of Porro,Romero,Davies and Udogie till VDV is fit and suspensions done , Dier is just plain crapp and had the turning motion of the Titanic trying to avoid an iceberg.

Bentacur needs to get he's match fitness up to scratch in the international break and cover Maddison in a like for like role.

We need to get a grip and be realistic most fans and rival fans thought we never would be doing as well as we are and we our well in the mix for top 4 ,that should be the minimum target regardless of injuries and suspensions.

Eddie I think most are moaning that all the injuries and suspensions happened at once, and it could only happen to Spurs.

Udogie, Micky Van and Maddison are the three outfield players that have made the most difference to Spurs this season, and that all three were out in the same game yesterday, is nothing short of unprecedented bad luck.

Thank God we are not in Europe.

Trying to get this lot through to January without falling too far off the CL places is gonna be tough enough without the extra games.

Typical Spurs yesterday, after serving up a display right out of the Jose handbook we nearly stole a victory and ended up with nothing. If Ange didn’t realise how much dross we have at the club before the game he certainly must do now.

I was particularly disappointed with the midfield (I wasn't expecting much from the defence) as I couldn't believe how 3 players as combative as ours kept losing individual battles.

Bissouma in particular seems to have gone backwards.

posted on 12/11/23

Yup, we'll be 6th at best come January. Then Sarr, Bissouma and Son leave us for a month.

I have seen enough from Ange that he is the long term manager for us. Needs to be given the Arteta treatment. Fully backed every window regardless if form drops off.

posted on 12/11/23

Davies is a steady eddy, ok as a squad player to step in now and again, but you wouldn`t want him being a first pick player as he is just too limited. He is worth a place ahead of the likes of Dier and Hojbjerg though, those two should be the first out of the door in January / summer.

Most of us knew our squad was left short when the window closed, and once injuries and suspensions hit, would scupper our good start, you will find several comments from myself saying exactly that.

A combination of bad luck with injury, stupidity and a wafer thin squad has seen our good start disappear quicker than a fart in a hurricane. I suspect it will be a painful couple of months coming up.

Levy out.

yep, the only way forward for us is to back Ange

Look at Ten Hag they backed him to the tilt and so was Arteta.

Levy out.

He will never ever provide a squad capable of winning anything simply because he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t need to win anything to get money out of the fans and club.

You’re a complete mug if you think otherwise.

Spurs will never win anything whilst levy and Enic are here.

Unfortunately for some spurs fans, that’s now acceptable.

Top 5 is still doable. The other teams competing for top 5 will drop points as well. Newcastle did yesterday. Villa did the other week. Only difference is they may go on to win cups and we won't. Tragic.

posted on 12/11/23

Maybe in the New Year make a concerted effort to go for the FA Cup. The best XI is definitely good enough to win it.. Obviously the squad players wouldn`t get past the 3rd round home or away.
