Levy out.

He will never ever provide a squad capable of winning anything simply because he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t need to win anything to get money out of the fans and club.

You’re a complete mug if you think otherwise.

Spurs will never win anything whilst levy and Enic are here.

Unfortunately for some spurs fans, that’s now acceptable.

Yup, we'll be 6th at best come January. Then Sarr, Bissouma and Son leave us for a month.

I have seen enough from Ange that he is the long term manager for us. Needs to be given the Arteta treatment. Fully backed every window regardless if form drops off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yep, the only way forward for us is to back Ange

Look at Ten Hag they backed him to the tilt and so was Arteta.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Arteta comparison is reasonable but the Ten Haag example contradicts your point

I know it's only a small part of your article that this reply relates to, but why does Davies get put into these lists time and time again? It's lazy.

IMO I thought Davies was one of our better players yesterday. I'd definitely keep him in the squad for moments like these.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s not good enough for this league imo
He’s totally one trick pony and the fact that someone like Udogie walks into the dude he’s available tells everything about Davies.

He goes to sleep on setpieces and offers nothing going forward. Our attack is so blunt with him in the side.
He’s better than Dier defensively but we need more fro. our defenders as play a high line game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Very harsh. Yea he isnt Udogie, granted. But he is a solid back up player in our squad. He played CB yesterday (not even his favourite position) and did very well. Id argue he was our MOTM. He is absolutely good enough as a squad player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He doesn’t lead, he doesn’t exude calm, he doesn’t get the job done. He is Mr steady Eddie - 7.5 every week, that’s not good enough though, I want someone coming in and tearing it up giving Udogie second thoughts about getting sent off again. At the very least a young player trying to improve, Davies just standing still and his good performances aren’t good enough

It didn't take long for the melt down to start on here once we lost a. game or two.

Okay big deal we be lost two games all season so far yes two same as Man City, yes the VDV and Maddison injuries are a big miss but we have players that can do a job , it's not there fault they've not played in months come in and have a bad game, concentration was required and due to lack of game time it went missing at the last minute.

The back four needs to consist of Porro,Romero,Davies and Udogie till VDV is fit and suspensions done , Dier is just plain crapp and had the turning motion of the Titanic trying to avoid an iceberg.

Bentacur needs to get he's match fitness up to scratch in the international break and cover Maddison in a like for like role.

We need to get a grip and be realistic most fans and rival fans thought we never would be doing as well as we are and we our well in the mix for top 4 ,that should be the minimum target regardless of injuries and suspensions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s not a melt down, I’m not upset just realistic. Everything I said in the summer is coming true. We have thin quality in our squad and can’t cope.

I’m positive on Ange, I like what I have seen. The problem is he now has to get the best out of 3 or 4 players whom have failed numerous managers before him - it’s going to take time to sort this squad and people need to prepare for us at best in my opinion, finishing 6th

I’m sure I read that no team has finished outside the European places from our points tally after 10 games?

I just hope people haven’t been going on too
Much at Arsenal, Liverpool and Utd fans about Spurs being miles better, with better players and a better manager than them all. After 10 games, that would be embarrassing.

Just got to wait and see what happens when we get the suspended players back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs live stats like that - first team to finish outside of euro places coming up

Maybe in the New Year make a concerted effort to go for the FA Cup. The best XI is definitely good enough to win it.. Obviously the squad players wouldn`t get past the 3rd round home or away.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The club will have to break the habit of the past 5/6 years and start taking the FA cup seriously and not rotate ourselves out of it like we usually do - I’m not holding my breath

Top 5 is still doable. The other teams competing for top 5 will drop points as well. Newcastle did yesterday. Villa did the other week. Only difference is they may go on to win cups and we won't. Tragic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It is def doable if we back Ange in Jan.

None of this we have no money bollox - we absolutely do and if we choose to we can absolutely buy a couple of players who can push us on.

By a CB and a creative player and we will be back in business. Get Maddison and Micky back and we could have a hell of a squad. Then in the summer we need to move on Dier, Davies, GLC, Ndombelly, Gil, Hugo and bring in young hungry players - could be like the start of the Poch reign when he had to clear the decks

It should have been a given that both domestic cups were taken seriously when we didn't have European football. Ange played too weak a team for the League Cup. I'll let him off for that one being a new manager but he can't make the same mistake for the FA Cup. Of course Levy is going to have to help him out in January because there's every chance we'll have to rely on strength in depth to win the cup/get top 5.

The one possible positive thing about this injury/suspension crisis is that it backs Levy into a corner almost forcing him to strengthen in January if we want to achieve something this season. We just have to hope not too much damage is done until we get to January, but I guess the more our top 5 chances are decreasing then the more chance of him being prepared to make signings.

I agree, 5 home games before the window opens, fans aren’t going to be patient if they watch us getting undone time and again due to Lack of depth in the squad - might concentrate Levy’d mind a bit if we’re struggling.

It should always be, how much longer are we going to go without a trophy?

I blew my top after the Fulham loss in the cup and can now no longer get on the match thread - but I was spot on, it’s taken a while - all credit to Ange, but the threadbareness of the squad is now playing it’s part. 2 senior CBs was an absolute must in the summer - now we’re left to either overpay in Jan or write off another season

OP

For what it is worth I agree that the season is on hold until 2024.

It is clear that Spurs going into games now with a combination of Dier, Davies, Emerson, Skipp, PEH, Lo Celso, Gil etc are not going to be getting many wins, if any, even against the very weakest in the division.

Not sure Levy can be blamed for an unprecedented injury and suspension list. No owner can be held responsibe for losing four of its better players in a 20 minute spell on Monday. To lose both your main CBs, one through injury, one through stupidity, at the same time is not down to Levy.

I suspect Spurs may well be about 8th at the beginning of January. Hopefully though the gap will not be that big, that with a fully fit squad, the ground cannot be made back up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re right Sandy about Levy not being responsible for injuries and suspensions in key places but is TOTALLY responsible for the lack in quality and depth in the squad

Think he will struggle to justify to the fans not spending this Jan.

Imagine going into United away with No Micky, No Sarr, No Biss, No Son, No Richy, No Maddison - and then Levy says we’ve no money, I think even he would realise that is outrageous

posted on 12/11/23

I wouldn`t be getting hopes up for a spending spree in January, Levy is on record as saying January is a difficult time to sign players and he won`t be overpaying for anybody. It will be the same old Levy, pleading poverty and mugging the fans off.

Levy does not need a successful football team to make money, he can still do that with numerous side lines, any success for the football operation will be seen as a welcome bonus.

Ange will find out soon enough what Levy`s game is, and will eventually go the same way as his predecessors.

Levy out.

City
Liverpool
Arsenal

There’s three. Villa look good in positions we are weak in - they have proper wingers who terrorise defenders. Not seen loads of them so will be interested to see them at our place next week.

Diaby, Watkins and Bailey up against Dier and Davies. Udogie and Porro could stop them tbf.

Newcastle struggling with European commitments.

No team has finished outside Europe from our points tally so we should get Europa at least. I’d love to have a real go at the Europa like we did under Jol.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so we agree that we can't name 5 sides who will finish above us.

I guess CL football is still looking ok then
