5/1 is a terrible price. There’s no chance Chelsea finish top 4 this season

Nothing to with bookies not fancying us, is just those unemployed neighbours have a lot of free time to put bets using their benefit thus shortening their odd. Partly this I am sure.

I don't think it's that bad.

If what we have seen over recent weeks is Poch's impact on the team, then it looks like Chelsea are on the way up.

Spurs I suspect with the injuries and lack of depth could go on the slide.

United will be a basketcase.

Newcastle have been impacted by CL and injuries but that tide should turn at some point.

Villa are a dark horse but with Europe as well it's a tough ask.

I'd have money on Chelsea over United at this stage. Next 3 games are crucial.

Top 4 Are the fourth place side going to stand still while we recover the 10 point gap?

I doubt that very much.

4th place will require (aprx)70 points?

Currently we are on 16 points with 12 games played.

26 games to play, with a total of 78 points up for grabs.

Can we return 54 points from 78 over 26 games ?

Are we likely to drop only 24 points over the rest of the season ?

Cant see it, awful odds as V/A said, suckering the Cfc faithful imo.

But if we get 7/9 points out of the next three and by the half way stage we are at 30 points+, we may well be in with a shot at 5th place with 65 points, picking up 35 points over the last 19 games.

I think to do it we need to go on an unbeaten run between now and January.

If we did manage that imo it will be a miracle.

Were not at that level of consistency yet. We may be by March/ April, when it will be too late unfortunately.

COY Blues!

It is highly unlikely as we can't beat Forest and West Ham and Bournemouth

And club doctor and physios need shooting

But there is a long way to go

It's tough one to call.

I think City and Arsenal are certs, maybe Liverpool also so it's one other place up for grabs.

I don't think we will get top 4 but we've been awful and I think we are only 2 points worse off than this time last season. If we can get to even the levels of last season who knows.

Are the wheels coming off at Spurs?

Are the overachieving Newcastle starting to return to expected levels?

Can Villa maintain their form?

Chelsea look like they are improving but have they already given themselves too much to do?

They are very likely. Their results have kind of been as you’d expect them to be so far give or take 1 or 2 games.

Yeah, Utd said the same and turned up at the Spurs ground and got sent back with 2-0 defeat

Don't forget that 6-2 thrashing Spurs inflicted to Utd at OT under JM, their ex-manager....Oh how sweet that was

But to confirm Chelsea won’t get top 4 this season

A season at least too early for them.

Top 4 will be as it is right now.

The whole thing hinges on Spurs getting players back - if Maddison and Micky are back early new year then we’re a shoe in for 4th - our first team we’re blowing teams away first 10 games.

Otherwise Levy has faaacked us with a paper thin squad

Even with them back spurs aren't a shoe in at all.
Son needs to keep firing and Maddison can't have a dip in form, which he will as he has never played at the level he was for a whole season.
Romero is a walking red card and spurs have had more luck than I've ever seen a team have before, until karma hit in one game 😂

Spurs were at their limits and plenty of teams with stronger squads are yet to reach theirs. Top 6 would be success for spurs in my opinion, especially as the boss has shown he can be very limited in his approach and resistant to change.

Even with a fully fit squad you'd get torn a new one by several teams with how he sets up. Two CBs have a red card or an error in them. Good form is short term.

I'd expect a fully fit Newcastle/Brighton team to smash spurs tbh. Footballs good to watch but not trophy winning if a coach doesn't have a plan B or C.

We were legit title challengers before the injuries and suspensions, comfortable wins over Liverpool and United, unlucky to only get a point at Arsenal.
