"You can see Bielsa's hand on the way Uruguay is playing," Messi said. "In all the national teams or clubs, including Argentina, his style was very recognisable. And he has a good generation of players."

Its a wonder if its because Barcelona didn't listen to Messi enough why he left them!..

I'm certainly not disappointed that when he goes away on international duty, Darwen Nunez gets coached by Bielsa!

Bloody silly for Leeds to sack him.

Absolute madness! I said at the time that I’d rather go down with him than stay up without him.

If only they had given him the fresh legs he said he needed.

Yes in hindsight knowing what we know now Radz selfishly hung on too long and should have sold to the 49ers after we'd finished 9th as we later found out he didn't have sufficient funds to take us any further and provide Bielsa with the tools he needed.

Imagine if Bielsa had been allowed to freshen up the team like he wanted with the players he recommended but Orta and Radz couldn't provide, where we'd be. I reckon where Villa are but that didn't happen and I love seeing how well Uruguay are doing.

I might have a small wager on them for the WC.

Short memories.

The worst part in the video is seeing him sitting on a chilly bin. Where's his bucket? Even that memory has been stolen from us.

I don't know Lowfields from Adam but guess he is not well liked round here, his comments are never well received.

Rodon on target for Wales.

Its pretty obvious how much Bielsa was loved and still is. Folk are travelling across the globe to watch Newell Old Boys and Uruguay. Fans travelled out there to take him a blue bucket a few weeks ago. He was a wonderful man on and off the pitch and completely changed the club in a positive away after so long in the doldrums. Will never ever be forgotten by those that loved him so much.

Yep, Bielsa, what might have been …

Watched it live; Argentina didn’t turn up, Bielsa’s Uruguay did, and my, it brought back those fantastic memories of our promotion season with him.

As soon as I coordinate free time with a home game in Montevideo, I will get down from Costa Rica to see the master at work.
