Would like to point out I also believe Spurs had a great start, the injuries and suspensions have probably killed us though - something I pointed out the day after that match.

No, just rabid
Come the day of the City game, if we have suffered no more injuries and we do have konate, gravenberch, curtis all back then I'm backing us to get a win....providing the ref and specifically VAR is competent!!
I think we'll take a pasting to be honest with how open our midfield is but if I'm wrong I'll be the 1st to hold my hands up.
Good thing is even if we do lose, we are still in and around where we need to be with a lot of very tricky away fixtures out the way.

City have the Club World Cup or whatever it’s called as well don’t they? If Liverpool can get their noses in front it might be enough - otherwise I can see you chasing them endlessly always 3 or so points behind

I actually think its a year too early for us anyway. We're on the right track though. If we bring in a proper holding midfielder who settles well I think we'll be there or there abouts next season. For me top 4 and maybe 1 of the other 3 trophies in the bag would do just nicely after last seasons debacle.

The same Pep that has lost 1-0 4 times on the bounce away at Spurs, to the same tactic of sitting deep and central and hitting them on the counter - i think we have done City like that 6 times in the Pep era and have been the team that have taken the most points from them. So,
A) Pep remains inflexible to that
B) so does Klopp who could also employ that tactic and Marsch Spurs record against City - if he had then Liverpool would likely have two more titles in the Klopp era
So am I worried, no more than your average City or Saltypudlian fan should be
