Great thread Chile 👏

Hard to predict our team, honestly no idea who is more injured out of Awoniyi and Elanga.

Also notice Montiel on the bench for Argentina for their win over Brazil, so is he fit again 🤷‍♂️

Think our style of play works well with teams that come into us, so should be an exciting one

Agree 2-1 Forest

Thanks for posting Chile. Doing a great job.
Could be playing them at the right time as we did last season. Not having won for six games their confidence could be ebbing away. We have to make sure we start on the front foot. Dominguez could lead a high press if he starts. Danilo could start in his place.
Cooper seems to have settled on a 4-3-3 system. Not sure myself; I prefer MGW to play central just behind Taiwo.

Cheers lads.

I just read that Danilo and possibly Elanga are carrying injuries. I’ve updated the thread.

Montiel likely won’t figure then. He’s probably traumatised from the horrific scenes midweek.

The Awoniyi news is a sickener! Particularly with so many games in the next couple of months.

Not sure there is any one player we would miss as much!

But Cooper is right, focus on who is available and supporting them 👍

Awoniyi is a big miss, but we were going to miss him, and several other key players in January for the African Cup of Nations regardless.
Hopefully one of the back up strikers will step up,Wood or Origi, but not sure either will be quite as effective, also Awoniyi seems to have been carrying this injury for quite some time, lets get to the bottom of it, and come March/April next year, it maybe like having a ‘New’ striker.
Tomorrows game, i feel reasonably confident, and would quite happily settle for a repeat of last season, 3-1 i think, to the Garibaldi.
Not sure who is or isn’t available, but hopefully Cooper will have enough quality to choose from, Williams had a good game for Wales, and Montiel i believe was on the bench for his lot.
Brighton can be dangerous, but this season don’t seem to be travelling quite as well as last season, I’m thinking of Villa, but Villa at home this season seem to be on fire.
Like us, BHA have injury concerns, again to key players, but they are adept at plugging gaps, Dunk and Mitoma are both key, and i believe both could be doubts.
Hopefully the WFCG will prove to be a fortress once again, and with the magnificent support behind them i fancy us to win 2-1 or maybe even 3-1.

Unfortunate result that puts Steve Coopers job under the spotlight and how much we relied on Brennan to get us out of a hole and up the pitch.

We seem to have a mentality problem. Why are we not going at teams and trying to kill the game off. We go one up and then let the opposition in to the game. undone by poor defending of crosses again and showed we learnt nothing from the last game.

At this level you can’t keep giving away 3 goals in a game, especially very basic bad defending.
Our ball into the box, particularly late on, lacked quality.
We had two stand out chances, Yates header, which was a decent save, and a chance for MGW when he headed wide, but should have hit the target.
We were good at the start and for the last 25 minutes, but poor, yet again for the remainder.
I agree Cooper will come under scrutiny, our next 3 games feel very important, Everton Fulham and Wolves, with Bournemouth close after.
We need to be on at least 20 points by the time we Play Manu u, at home, or Marinakis may well roll the dice, i hope not, but even Coopers post match interview, are starting to sound repetitive.
I hope Cooper can still get a tune out of this lot, but a few Wood and Origi, our so-called strike force are. Struggling to say the least.
Brighton deserved the win today, they were better than us, which is very disappointing to say.

Our two very young central defenders were exposed today. I think we need an old head in there preferably Felipe, but I fear we may have seen the last of him in the Garibaldi. Remember how our defensive. performances improved after last Christmas when he joined us. If not Felipe then Boly or Worrall or both need to come in to make a back three.

We are not going to score many without Taiwo so we need to learn to keep a clean sheet if we want to win games
