None of the newer players are as good as the ones in their 30s. Maybe a handful like haaland, mbappe... cant think of anyone else to be fair.

I think it kind of depends on how you define "good." The players now are better physically and better athletically. But flair players, who get you off your seat are more and more rare. Tbf Salah is one of those but there aren't many in the league. Tbh that's been the case for a long time now but it becomes ever more evident

Physical fitness now and 5 years ago isn't much different really.
Salah is a world class player, but closing in on retirement age although he didn't really become world class until he was about 26. Short career at the very top.

I'm talking about all positions too.
Kane, lewondowksi, benzema, Ronaldo, Messi, de bruyne, fabinho, fernandinho, winaldjum(class player imo), Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Varane, modric, Rooney, thiago Silva, pique

In their peak, no current player comes close to any of the above. Perhaps Haaland and mbappe for their goal output but what midfielders and defenders these days can you really consider quality?

Bellingham? Maybe doku one day. Everyone else is really meh and nothing special.
