If you are dumb enough to buy an NFT, no one else is to blame but yourself.
Fecking ridiculous. It's an advert he lent his name to. People didn't go " Oh it's Cristiano, he knows all about money, I'll buy some of that ".
Investments can go down as well as up, that's the game.

That is the problem and why people pay Ronaldo and others like him big money to associate themselves with their product.
Stupid people actually buy this stuff because they think Ronaldo wouldn’t be in on it if it was bogus.
As if Cristiano or his manager will respond to the BBC ffs 🤣

And that's why these stars need to think carefully before they take the money...
One would think they and their reps aren't stupid enough to sully their brand with a bogus product.
Can someone better explain what NFT's are?
On the downside we have to watch Antony this afternoon.
Oh for a young Ronaldo.

Two questions
Did CR gain/lose money from this stuff other than endorsement payments...?
Is he a financial expert & approached them with sound advice..?
Don't see how he's liable otherwise

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It would pretty strange if they complained when their investments doubled.
The bit I do find funny though is that you come across people as thick as s=two short planks who are actually convinced they're bone fide geniuses just because they fluked getting in on something at precisely the right time.
I worked financial markets for about 13 years. One bloke I worked with -quite easily one of the stupidest- was convinced that he'd be a resounding success no matter what he did in life. I remember the example he gave me like it was ten minutes: "I don't know, I'm sure that if I worked in a bottling factory, I'd find a way of putting the cap on the bottle top on differently that was just a bit better than anything anyone had ever thought of before."
Fortunately for him, that probably means he could also end up finding a novel way of keeping just that little bit warmer with cardboard boxes too.

Same sort of thing people said about Bitcoin, now standing at circa 29k a share. Went all the way to circa 43k at one point. I was around 26 when it started getting some momentum, I listened to naysayers like you and now missed out heavily.

Out of curiosity, which in your opinion are the lines that separate investment, speculation and gambling?
On a separate note, there's plenty more to life than money, imo. I opted out of the financial rat race more than 25 years ago and am all the better off for it.

Your opinion! My opinion is this is the sort of nonsense you hear from people with money. Warren B, who I follow religiously also says this a lot sitting on billions.
I came from nothing, so to me money means a lot! Not for me but for my future generations, but that’s just me.
To answer your question, I believe investing in rotten penny stocks religiously in the hope that one day one of them will do massive returns I consider this gambling. With what Bitcoin has shown us, I won’t consider investing in NFTs as gambling. Heck people have already made millions from doing it. It is too early for anyone to really say where this is going. Folks can however feel free to make outrageous predictions only to look like fools if it goes on a trajectory like Bitcoin
