Yes. I think it's a shame too. Perhaps the thinking is that if the pitch is poor we won't be playing much football in the middle and, in that case, may as well put McT in there.

How do you actually pronounce Mainoo? I'm wondering if his dad wanted to change his surname at the register to Man U and that Mainoo was just an educated best guess.

His 1st name was actually supposed to be Robbie.

However they were running out of ink when they did his birth certificate, so the top bit of the 'R' was missing.

I'd have liked to have seen Mainoo but perhaps ETH didn't think this was the game for him after such a good game on Sunday. He's only just back from injury to be fair.

If the pitch isn't great that could well be another consideration too. Let's just hope McT and Amrabat can do a decent job in midfield and that we're not caught too far up the pitch with no cover.

Yes, after all the praise on Sunday if he made a mistake tonight that knocked us out of the CL then he'd be slated for it. Perhaps ETH is looking to keep his feet on the ground a bit with the bigger picture. There's no need to rush him but the players playing tonight though will know they have to step up too with him waiting in the wings.
