I see Rusty SAK is showing himself up for the Khunt he is again. A Pompey turncoat disliked on the Chelsea board because they know deep down he isn’t one of them and will move on to the next team soon enough.

Will be in the bar of his local bowls club tomorrow with his Laura Ashley wife, boring all the patrons as usual.

How the Khunt thinks it’s acceptable to call someone a nonce without a shred of truth is beyond me

The Spurs and Chelsea boards will do...

You were Sir Alan Knight on BBC606. A Portsmouth fan that was always on the Spurs board obsessing and posting crap that wasn't wanted. SAK also posted homophobic and racist stuff as well.

I just know it was you! And some others on here do/did as well.

Stop calling me a nonce as a counter argument. It's pathetic and disgusting.

Fack off our board!!!! You;re not liked or wanted on here. You never offer anything other than a caaanty little comment about our club.

🍿 Just here for Levy out comments by the girls 🍿
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2 decades of barely 1 trophy speaks volume of Levy: well done Levy

Chronic underfunding is why we have chiiit depth in squad and 2 players that are with us almost since the days of Christina Gross

Levy increased the profits for himself through the stadium, to the detriment of a trophy. Spurs spending on players who are neither Manager's ones but only cheaper version like Fernanded. No, not Bruno - Gedson

We had the old white hart lane where we were unbeaten in the final season and should have then invested in the squad and went after a trophy, instead the squad had to mover away from a fortress home to Wembley!!
Wembley where opponents felt like a reward trip, as they were playing undert the twin towers so they all played out of their skin against us

And now this chairman stumbled on Ange and yet he made a speech about how he had an epiphany and wanted to go back to basics with appoitning Ange

Every time the ticket renewas comes around we are linked with whatever players who are in headlines, and then not a peep after the times has passed for season ticket purchases.

I'll leave it at this for now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs would not in a million years have been able to compete at all in the old stadium. Yes, they had an unbeaten season, but the new stadium and revenue puts Spurs on a whole different level.

Whatever the price of season tickets, they still sell out, so that`s a moot point. Have you tried getting a ticket for a match lately? It`s bloody difficult.

Spurs playing at Wembley, gave non season ticket holders like me a chance to see Spurs in the CL, so I don`t get your point. Do you just want to carry on playing in a 36,000 capacity stadium for evermore. Meaning that thousands of supporters are locked out of ever watching Spurs live.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The point about Wembley is one I amsure you know well. That was the season when Levy should have backed the manager to attain some trophies, as we had a fortress and were amassing huge points fro our home games already and yet the manager was told no money because we were upgrading the stadium. The timig of this upgrade is Spurs AF!

Not only, we failed to add quality to the squad as we lose Dembele soon after but we also fail to get as single signing over the next 2 transfers.

If we had just focused on helping the manager those 2 seasons, I am sure we would be talking about trophies, not about barren years.

In footballing terms, what has Levy achieved other than 1 trophy in 2 decades? That's simply not acceptable and in any profession he would have got the sack!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ridiculous to blame Levy, he has fully backed every manager. So just because he didn't spend silly money trying to chase trophies, doesn't make it wrong.

You need to realise that the 21st century has become about the financially doped, so winning trophies is not easy. How many clubs have actually won trophies in 21st century? Not many, and two of them are now playing their trade in the 3rd tier?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with you on doped clubs winning trophies making it difficult for genuine clubs to win without cheating Sandy

sadly out had become a case either join them or become also rans

"The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan said: "It’s fantastic to see the positive impact that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has had in the local area – from job opportunities and skills learning to local small business investment. Football has the power to unite communities, and this report shows football clubs can play a major role in building a better and more prosperous London for everyone.""

Levy should be wondering how to leverage some cash out of the Lord Mayor based on this quote!

Perhaps getting local businesses to chip in with an extra "football tax"?

Levy wanted to move us to the Olympic Stadium - that’s how much he cares about the local area
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And kill competitive football with the esl

But ssshhh. Don’t remind people of that as they can’t defend levy over it and they start calling you a bedwetter etc etc

Game changer stadium. Changing everything but the actual game for spurs. Still miles off winning anything

1 trophy in 23 years and counting.

Competing?
With Aston Villa?
Newcastle?
Brighton?

We are miles off anyone else
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs were top of the table and unbeaten in 10 games until all the injuries and suspensions. So total nonsense to say Spurs are miles off anyone else. Even now they are just four points off the top of the table, despite a catastrophic injury list.

Talk about kneejerk nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you only have 11 good players - you can’t compete.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs have more than 11, just cannot legislate for so many injuries. No club in the Prem would compete with five of their nailed on first XI out. Not even City.

Did he? It was an option put forward. But in the end, he came up with the greatest option ever. Sanctioning the building of one of the world's best stadiums. I seriously don't get why any Spurs supporters are not thankful for him delivering our fantastic stadium.

Actually he didn’t really want to move the club at all.
Levy used the threat as leverage to force Haringey to approve the planning applications which they were dragging their heels on processing. The council realised that the Borough was going to lose its biggest local tax and largest commercial employer to another Borough.
Levy used his skill at brinkmanship to great effect.
The other reason we would never have gone to the Olympic Stadium is that it was never going to be allowed to be demolished, which is what Levy proposed in his submissions.

Shame Tottenham aren't beneficial to the entire UK economy. They are a foreign owned club (registered in the Bahamas) so avoid a great deal of tax they would otherwise be paying.

posted on 2/12/23

Unlike West Ham we paid for our stadium and did not rely on taxpayers money to fund our ground. Plus ours is a football ground and not an athletics stadium unfit to be a football ground!

Tottenham Commitment to tax compliance

We are committed to paying the right amount of tax, in the right place, on a timely basis in accordance with tax law and practice in the UK. The tax contribution paid by the Club and its players is both substantial and transparent. Tax payments include but are not limited to: Employee PAYE, Employee NIC, Employer NIC, Corporation Tax and VAT.

Tax Governance

The Board recognises the importance of tax and delegates responsibility to the Operations and Finance Director with oversight from the Audit Committee.

This tax strategy statement is approved and overseen by the Board. The Operations and Finance Director, who has overall responsibility and governance of this tax strategy statement, annually provides an update to the Board to confirm compliance.

Our approach to taxation is periodically reviewed to account for changes in the market, the business, tax laws, regulation and emerging tax risks.

Effective tax risk management and level of tax risk

Given the size of our business, tax risks will inevitably arise from time to time. The Club views tax risk management as a high priority and as such has developed preventative controls to maintain an acceptable level of tax risk.

Where applicable laws and regulations are subject to interpretation, giving rise to inevitable complexity and uncertainty, we seek appropriate assurance regarding the position taken from reputable third party advisers and HMRC.

Responsible attitude to tax planning

The Club seeks to manage costs in relation to tax on a sustainable basis. For example, we seek to claim incentives or reliefs where they are justifiable, properly disclosed to HMRC, reviewed with appropriate levels of professional competence and meet the Club’s levels of risk criteria. We will not put in place any arrangements that are contrived or artificial.

Transparent relationship with HMRC

We disclose all relevant facts and circumstances to HMRC on all required tax matters, in line with our commitment to compliance. We work closely with HMRC, maintaining continual dialogue in an open, honest and transparent manner, acting fairly, responsibly and with integrity.
