Think you'll find most people criticising them and rightly so. Looking like nothing special this season and certain players can't handle it, it seems.

The only punishment that needs handing out should be to the ref for that school boy officiating.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thought the ref did fantastically well, let the game flow and that mistake was a genuine one! Fans like you bring the game into disrepute!
Haaland was very arrogant and btw missed sitter after sitter so he should blame himself if anything!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In fairness to the referee, he initially waved play on. The only reason I could see as to why he then stopped play to give the free kick was that he must have thought Grealish would eventually be flagged offside. He actually wasn’t, but it was close. If he had have been offside, there would have been no advantage at all and Tottenham would have had the free kick. Which would have been wrong!

I can't ever remember a ref blowing for offside without a linesman flagging for one, it's basically not the ref's job to make that judgement.

Are you kidding me Boris? How can a City fan forget when the ref did exactly just that in a City vs Newcastle game?
City were struggling badly to break down Newcastle. Linesman flagged an offside goal, City players rushed the ref (as usual) that it wasn't offside and central ref caved and overruled his own linesman and gave the goal when it was actually a clear offside and linesman had got it right.
City went on to win 4-0. It was basically a miracle. City beat Liverpool to the title by a point that season.
So many of these strange incidents over the last 5 or so years. How can a central ref overrule a linesman on an offside call?
VAR came in the next season and I continue to embrace VAR because at least it makes it harder to pull of that kind of bullsheet without causing a furore.
