Must admit, I thought we would've had something line up and was very surprised and disappointed when we didn't.
Kane had to go. He's an elite footballer who wasted his best years at spurs. All the best to him at Bayern.
Didn't that sale fund your summer business, saw a few reports a while back saying you had no money to spend otherwise. A decent forward would of swallowed pretty much all your budget. If that's the case you wouldn't have got Maddison, Van der Ven and Johnson, mind you I think you could of done without Johnson, he's really not very good.

He was worth the risk of possibly losing him for free the next summer. We'd be top of the league with him right now.

We would have done. Kane came out and said he'd stay if he was here when the season started. Baldy then blew his load and sold him just before it started, severely weakening us.
Ironically getting £100m for Kane turned out to be a very costly decision.

Well it didn’t a few weeks ago. Kane may have said that, in public, but privately you can imagine the prospect of trophies would have turned his head. He won’t be regretting it now. Tbf you did look the better team by a distance tonight, so I wouldn’t let some bad results in the last few games get you down. As a Utd fan, sliver thin fine margins sum up our league position
Kane scores a brace in that first half, easily.
I don’t think replacing Kane was ever possible, we did need to bolster the squad and have better balance though.
The real mistake was not having another CB and cover for Maddison. People will bleat on about players not coming to sit on the bench but then Arsenal, Liverpool, City, United even Chelsea have plenty of players sat on the bench who can come in and do a job.
Look at our bench and West Ham’s tonight - we had a semi fit Richarlison, a semi fit Sarr and then a load of kids. West Ham had Benrahma, Fornals, Ings - guys who could come on and make a difference for them. They can balance that because they have Europe - we don’t and the longer we’re out the harder it will be to get back in.

Kane wouldn't have gone anywhere after the season started. Besides, ultimately it wasn't his decision anyway. We didn't have to sell to Bayern and Kane would have been ok to have stayed another season knowing he only had 1 year left.
Levy just couldn't resist in selling. You can understand the decision but I always wanted him stay 1 more year to see what he could do in this team. What's losing £100m anyway when that sort of money gets you Johnson and Richarlison.
Kane wanted out......rightly too.
What did Levy spend the money on?

I think the only player we bought after Kane left was Johnson so you could argue him. So that's already half the money down the drain.

It absolutely wasn't...
Kane has gone get over it
Bad result last night because we couldn’t take our chances to get the second goal and then gifted them two soft goals.
First one was unlucky that the shot came off two of our defenders and fell nicely to Bowen and fair play to him for finishing it and the second was Doggies fault.
We need to start taking our chances or we will suffer.
Yep, vintage Levy, I don't blame Kane as Levy failed to match the ambition of all our top players and will continue to do so.
We all knew Kane wouldn't be replaced adequately and now we are crying out for a goal scorer.
I am completely apathetic about Spurs these days, I did not get too excited when we had a good start to the season and I am not even pist off with our falling apart, because I expected it.
Levy out.
Of course we had to sell Kane the guy wanted out. Ange said he knew Kane was going from day 1…..in July FFS. Levy knew too. All that messing around to rinse Bayern for a few more million , taking them out for dinners etc, what a joker he is. Delayed it to the last minute and now look, no recognised striker at the club.
For the sake of a few million he may have ruined our chance of European football
It's a marathon, not a sprint.
Let's get the right person in for the manager.
He's had a great look at his options this season, we've seen what works, what doesnt.
Loads of people saying in the summer that we should have gone for Gift Orban who was tearing it up in Belgium last season. 3 goals in 15 games, this and being dropped from the side. bullet dodged!
Fans who think that negotiating Munich up from 70m to 100m is "Levy messing around" clearly have no grasp on reality. 30m being "for the sake of a few million"
And now 15 games in, the chance of European football is "ruined"
I think we have found another bed wetter!
