Far better than rocking up to London Rd Community Hospital, taking a ticket and queuing for your phlebotomy.

No guarantee of a fresh needle though 🤔

Under the old system I could walk out of the surgery, across the waiting, room pull the ticket, and get a blood test within about an hour, on this new system it's taken two hours to be told, no booking in, age related, another trip to the surgery to get a phone number that was only available from 9 to 1, tried 20 times to ring it, always engaged finally got one two weeks later 4 miles round trip in the rain on a Sunday afternoon on my scooter which would you prefer.

It is a bit clunky admittedly

It’s a money saving idea. If they frustrate you for long enough you will slash your wrists thus saving the cost of nurse and needle.
