Will say on Georgi, love the guy, but he could be a lot sharper in front of goal. If he'd converted that pass from Archie it would have meant a much more relaxed afternoon for us all.
I thought Blackburn were the better side for a lot of the second half without creating much but the save from Illan was out of this world.
One last point, the cameo from Mateo Joseph, I know only a few minutes but gives me hope for the future.
And yes massive rebuild needed at some point.

We play Ipswich soon and then Ipswich play Leicester soon after.
A chance to close the gap on one or both. We just have to not drop silly points.
Personally I'm worried that the team that's taken shape up to this point in the season will be disrupted by the likes of Summerville and others being poached by Premiership clubs this January.
It will be a statement both of intent by the club and "team before self" for the players to hold out despite any interest in the new year.

I don't see any of first team wanting away in Jan and can't see club selling any.
If we do then that's really poor.....Firpo excepted.
Thought it was a decent game for an early kick off which more often than enough can be slow burners.
Not our best performance but more than enough to deserve the points in what was a difficult away game.
Thought our two centre backs were excellent once again and the threat from opposition corners and long throws that frightened us to death has been very much nullified
.
We do need a proper left back and Archie Gray back in midfield but unless we change shape cannot see Ampadu or Kamara being dropped.
We're on a terrific run. Looks like DF has everyone behind him and it's great to have some stability, a word seldom heard at Elland Road in the last 20 years. Long may it last.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
For me if there is one player who demonstrates the difference between Farke and Marsch it's Kamara.
Kamara is exactly what we needed, brilliant for this league and just a solid midfielder in his prime who was brought in with a clear plan of how to use him and why we would need him.
And Jesse signed Arronson...
Kamala will be fine in the premiership.
That said there is clearly work to be done in the market, Rodon isn't here next year, Byram is on a year deal and on top of that the only right back who is contracted next year is a midfielder.
So signings are going to be needed.
But it's more about improving the team rather than a massive overhaul
Of course signings will be made, but this squad is better than Luton, burnley and sheff utd, by a distance too.
Not a high bar i know, but it wouldnt need a overall at all
Let's get out of this league first , get shot of the 'too good for EFL' rubbish and cross the PL bridge when we come to it.
Good result as we weren't at our best. Long way to go yet. Ipswich proved today that they're a worthy adversary for 2nd spot.

One flaw in that argument LIW, as it stands, Luton, Burnley and Sheff Utd will not be in the premier league next season, so assuming that Leicester, Ipswich and ourselves go up, we have to be better than Leicester, Ipswich and one other.
The Premier League bottom 3 this time out are very poor. Don't expect that to be the case next season.

Moore was decent a couple of years ago tbf. Brilliant in the air but can't do sod all else. Not sure about Sini tbf. Just thought we swapped players.
I think we have a very good squad. Equal to Leicester.
We're the class of this division squad-wise. And for me,
Kamara would do just fine in the Prem. Intelligent player.
If the 49ers think longer term, then they should be adding two or three Prem level players in January. Or at the very least, two or three top level Championship
players who could hold their own in the Prem. Then
we'd have arguably the best squad in this division.
Solid win today, away from home against a tidy side.
Count me as happy.

It's the Welsh connection you know, Ampadu is on record as encouraging his Cymru team mates to join him at Leeds, begging Rodon to sign on a permanent, I wondered how far that net had been cast, I wouldn't have minded David Brooks. He would have given us a few more options on the wing.

Struijk is not Prem quality, he wasn't before, we need an upgrade.
Kamara is ok at this level, I don't think he's Prem quality either.
Rutter hasn't shown he's Prem quality, we've yet to see if he can do it at that level.
James done great in Championship, never done anything in Prem, for any club. I'd like him to do well, but dont know if it happens.
Summerville could do ok, but Champ very different to Prem.
Gnonto, will be surprised if he's here next season.
Would we still play Gray at right back?
We would need LB and RB as well.
I dont see this squad holding it's own if promoted.
Good for championship but need much better in prem and indeed hasn't the signing of Farke been contingent upon being supported properly if he makes it to Prem?
---------------------------------------------------------------
Kamara has played in the champions league, he may not be Manchester City or Liverpool standard but he's certainly premier league level.

Agree with most of what you write Jonty, my thoughts on he game were that it was a game that Blackburn started well, but after ten minutes or so we had taken control.
After the first goal and the Rutter miss, it triggered a Blackburn mini-revival and for much of the rest of the first half we struggled to have any meaningful possession. It was very scrappy.
I kind of know where the Blackburn shout for a penalty came because Tony and Brynn mentioned it but yes no penalty.
Personally I though Summerville, other than his goal had one of his quieter days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
we're in a good place all round at the moment, today wasn't top form, but to win away 2-0 when you're not playing your best gives confidence.
I hope as long as we dont start dropping Rotherhamesque points we'll do this catch up job.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn't catch up any points on those above us today sadly.
Still lots of points to play for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We play Ipswich soon and then Ipswich play Leicester soon after.

Long may it last.

i thought we played well, whilst having hand brake on.
Looked good at back, whilst looking dangerous on Break.
Not sure we’d need a rebuild.
Mez
Rodon
struyk
Kamara
Ampatu
Gray
rutter
summerville
James
Gnonto
All be decent in prem.

Can see Gnonto going. Aint gonna have a 20+ mil Italian international sat on the bench in the 2nd div. Id be tempted to re roll on Anthony too, can't see Bournemouth being too happy with his lack of minutes.

Can they do that though, they have Sinistere at Bournemouth with Anthony at Elland Road as part of the deal.
I keep waking up in a cold sweat thinking we agreed to take Kieffer Moore instead.

Spot on.
Feels like some of this is a conversation for April time - if we are 5-7 points ahead of third place. Fact is Ipswich won’t fek off and Leicester keep getting results when needed.
