After the Spanish women won the World Cup Peks said the day would be perfect if someone punched Alex Scott.
If you don’t agree with Joey Barton or Peks you’re a fart parcel .
The way its going. refs are gonna be needing a taser a batten and some pepper spray.
Ban the Turkish club from cup competitions for 2 years and no fans in their home games for at least their next 5 home games.
Fair play to the Turkish FA for taking such quick action.
A cowardly attack that is likely to cost the perpetrator a lot.
As far as I am concerned an attack on a ref should equal an immediate 12 month ban from football and upon review a possible indefinite ban depending on how bad it was.
This is what happens though when you let people run their mouths about refs all the time. I said it the other day, Man City after their 3-3 draw seemed to purely focus on Simon Hooper over 1 incident that could have potentially resulted in a goal - yet no mention was made of Ederson throwing the first one in the back of the net - concentrate on your own short comings first
He was also kicked whilst on the ground by others, according to the BBC.
Hopefully it’ll just be the individuals concerned that get punished. Expulsion from the club and at least a twelve month ban from anything to do with football as a bare minimum. I’m not a fan of punishing the whole for the actions of a few. A club can’t stop an individual from acting in this way, so as long as they react in the right way themselves they should be left alone.
And fair play to the Turkish FA, they’ve reacted decisively so far. The English FA probably wouldn’t have booked their table at their old boy’s club yet.

Anyone that laid a finger on the ref should be going to jail.
This club president is a bigger tw@t than the Spurs fan who tried to attack Ramsdale last season

Oh I’m sure they’ll be prosecuted and rightly so. I’m just talking about football sanctions.
Just my opinion but this kinda thing is horrific, no need at all for this and have been glad that even verbal abuse or players surrounding the ref has, to an extent, been clamped down on. Not one of us don't get wound up or frustrated at certain calls but let them do their job no matter how poor we think they might be during the game, damn sure players make more mistakes than them?
Got a mate who refs at Junior level and I wouldn't do it for £500 a game, the abuse and threats he gets from the players and even more so from the parents etc on the sidelines is jaw dropping,, had his car damaged a couple of times ffs
If this were to happen here, hypothetically, where do you think most likely to happen?
Of course, let's see what ingredients needed for this kind of reactions:
Volatile crowd, team used to surrounding officials, manager constantly aggressive to them, hate losing, demand replays when game is lost, have had previous in fans attacking.....Hmm, no can't think of any

Hopefully the police and football authorities deal with it and don't let VAR intervene.

So that’s a no then? Thought so.
As much as Sizzle is on the wind up, Klopp is a khunt that could do the whole footballing world a favour if he stopped whining about every decision that has ever gone against him.
In fact they all should, if they believe the ref was incompetent just say that, if they think the ref cheated then just say that. Then the FA can dole out the appropriate punishment and we can all move on.
