Fair play from a football perspective that's a great performance

Yes.

In fact Pep himself has won 5+ in a year twice before.

Barca 2009 - all 6 titles
Barca 2011 - 5 titles (lost the Copa del Rey)

Outside of that, Bayern won 5 in 2013 & 2020 and Inter won 5 in 2010.

So it’s actually a pretty common feat tbh.

I don’t count Liverpool 2001 because apart from the FA Cup, the others were minor trophies.

No we beat them to win the FA Supercup.

They won the UEFA Supercup though against Sevilla.

Well that's it. The Oracle has spoken.

The question was about number of trophies won in a calendar year. But, you know, you do your unique brand of dumbarsary as usual.

That Barca team is superior to this city one. That said it’s a phenomenal achievement by city, the bassstards

You would if the club you support won them.

And don’t say otherwise. You’d be lying if you did.

Of course certain trophies won have greater significance than others, and not one single fan would deny that. But your comments on this thread alone reek of bitterness, because you deem fans being happy about winning certain trophies as a sign of ridicule - a la your “football fans today” comment.

Well you’re a football fan today. And these trophies have been around for decades. That fact alone makes you come across like an idiot.

Hopefully this will be the last trophy Man City win for a while for a good number of years

Have a decent chance of another CL with Kev and the Viking but I suspect the PL is gone.

Serious football fans know the trophies that really matter.
In the UK they are winning your league, FA Cup, League Cup, or European Cup.
Most of the other trophies are just consolation prizes or meaningless money-spinning events.

Consolation prizes?

Super cups are by definition the complete opposite of consolation prizes.

but they are completely and utterly pointless

The european super cup between the winner of the best against the winner of the also rans.

What the feck? The equivalent of the FA cup winner playing with he FA Vase winner.

And even more daft the world club cup ffs. Teams from backwater league against the Euro champs ffs.
