Still well short of the 700m mark and the 15 was for performance related bonuses that haven't yet kicked in. Mudryk still wouldn't make up the difference but again 30m euros of his 100m fee was bonus related.
Really Nick ,
We fielded15 players.
Values as follows.
Petrovic > 13,
Disasi> 45m
Badiashiele > 40m
Gusto> 32m
Colwill > valued at 30m
Caicedo > 110m
Gallagher > valued at 60m
Nkunku> 55m
Mudryk> 75m
Jackson> 37m
Maatsen > valued 30m
Noni> 38m
Gilchrist > valued 20m
Broja> 25m
Silva> 00/0
These values are from Sportrac> check it out
Bar our academy players , but they are valued .
Actually the total value of the players fielded comes to 610m.
plus: another > 470m
Sanchez> 25m
James> 60m
Chilwell> 40m
Cucu> 60m
Forfana> 80m
Enzo> 100m
Sterling > 40m
Palmer> 40m
UGo> 25m
Carney> 20m
Plus,another 85m
Chalobah> 25m
Keppa> 25m
Lukaku> 35m
These values are what the club will have these players on the books as assets, the majority of which are being paid through amortized contracts.
Inbefore, this valaution is not what you and me as armchair managers think thet may be worth.
The academy player values are what would be aspected to be returned if they were sold , the other values are what the players are valued at according to what the transfer cost inclsv of add ons .
Total comes up around 1.160bln.
How ever you want to look at it , it is a staggering amount of money for the quality & ability of this squad.
Nicolas Jackson looks absolutely dreadful. How is he even a footballer ffs

Hi JfdI,
Please excuse my sensationalist approach, but you know it does jog interest.
Well, we did field 15 players , semantics how and when they lined up, no problem.
But the reality is that are valued at 610m not 700m give or take , the squad is valued at 1.2bln and we are an average side currently.
I have actually said this in my article & response to Nick.
Look , we can choose to ignore the reality of the investment and the squad we have, or not.
Personally i'm gob smacked, im not suggesting that these players are full of potential, but as a group currently they represent an average mid table side.
Which i personally find an embarrassment.

Personally I don't even think about it, values, net spend, gross spend, amortisation etc is purely down to ownership and is something I cannot influence or have a choice in accepting or not. The team is exactly were it deserves to be right now but I don't expect it to stay there nor do I expect spending to cease either.
I expect to see us move up the table rather than down it if we can keep a few of the key players fit. United have lost as many games as we have this season. Liverpool who are currently top have only scored 8 more than us, united 10 less yet we have the goal scoring issue of the Premiership. The only thing that really counts right now is where we sit, but what really matters is where we end up. There is plenty of scope for us to make up ground on some of the clubs above us and even if we end up where we are now, it will be two places higher. The one thong that worries me that I would wish fixed is injuries.

Also we sold a sh!t load of players. Our net spend is only about 100m more than other clubs. Still awful but as I’ve said 100 times value doesn’t equate to worth.
I’m not sure what the point of this article is tbh after a win. We know where we are. Wasted money, injuries and poor finishing.
All my fees are taken from transfer market

Everyone is getting tons of injuries right now, have done for the past 2-3 years, so it's not something we or any other club's fans can afford to lament about.
In these mid table places in the league I'd look at points totals rather than position. If we equalled this return in the second half of the season we're looking at 50pts which is a 6 point increase on last year when we had more games & several different managers, that's not good enough even with basement expectations.

Not sure what basement expectations are but in my books, that's an improvement in points terms though I'd never look at that alone. League position is another key indicator.
Nick,
We are at the half way point, 19 games, into the 23/24 season.
We imo, are currently an average mid table side.
We are still full of issues, even when we will have a full strength squad.
I am personally, fed up with the excuses, and the reasoning for how poor we are.
Im not buying into trust the process , this is a project.
I do not have any resentment for the players, i just think the people who currently run CFc have taken the club back to mid 90s levels of competitiveness , whilst simultaneously ransacking the academy for no good reason.
This hopefully/ may change over the next 2/3 seasons.
But i for one am happy to say that im not convinced by the Bohley- Clearlake project.

Your rant makes no sense to me. Give me an example of a club that has completely rebuilt itself in two years?
In what sense have the owners ransacked our youth system given that we have more academy product in our squad currently than we have since about 1963?
The mid 90s was the beginning of the last era, we witnessed silverware for the first time I over 2 decades and the club went from strength to strength. In that respect now feels very simillar to that, thanks for reminding me.
You.dont have to trust, believe or buy into a project, process or whatever you wany to call it but every club is ways going through one.

I think spending has to cease due to FFP. I don't if the Gallagher, Maatsen and Chalobah rumours are true, but if the club is really looking to off load the only players with book value profit, then that tells its own story.
Good morning, Jfdi, biggish,
'We have a project, trust in the process'
Has been the Bohley- Clearlake mantra to the support and the media from day 1.
This is not a phrase i have conjured up.
After 20 months 4 managers and an investment of over 1 bln, to rebuild the squad, the squad is still lacking in key areas.
We also lack leadership, experience and strength in depth.
The squad is still at 30 players, despite the efforts to trim it , something i could easily live with providing we were at least reliably competitive, something which we are not.
The injury thing, ?
Look at all the top 8 sides they are coping with varying degrees of injury issues.
Our issue imo, is the lack in strength in depth, the quality of experience throughout the squad to cover the injury rate. We have 30 individual players opposed to two sides, a first 11, a second 11 & an academy group young talented prospects to be available to cover.
This is at the root of the problems along side the poorly thought out strategy of how to rebuild the squad.
At the midway point of the 23/24 season we are a mid table side on the slide, we have significant FFP issues to tackle. The squad still requires key players and due to the FFP issues we now are facing the prospect of selling pure profit academy assets to first ensure we do not breach FFP due to the restructuring as we have breached FFP due the incomplete reporting.
These issues will result in sanctions, the sanctions will derail to a certain extent the specific season they are imposed.
Due to the way the new ownership have gone about the restructuring, the club is running out of wriggle room financially, whilst unfortunately still requiring key players.
This will be apparent over the next two buying windows, as the club will be faced with the prospect only being able to continue to develop the squad with the funds it has. The development will have to come out of the clubs economy.
The fact that the consortium who owns Cfc are valued at 25bln + will not be of much help, as they will have taken the amount that they can put into club to its maximum, as this is dependent upon the size of the clubs economy. Something which has been shrinking, due the failure to consider the importance of club maintaining a top 6 competitive level.
Where we are , where we will go ?
Well i pray this squad will by the end of the season start to gel and a spine begins to emerge.
But , if it does not the likely hood is that Poch and the sporting directors will have the blame hung on them.
We will get new people? but will these people be compelled to have to mould something which Poch, Winstanley & Lawrence could not do , or will the whole set up require a rethink?
With the issues the club has financially, i think a rethink may be unattainable in the short term whilst also having to overcome the FFP issues..
My view is that Bohley- Clearlake are sailing far to close to the sun, with their Project & process.
It is not for me, i naturally hope that the trajectory of the clubs fortunes improve, the football will go on .
Feel free to call this article a rant or what ever , but personally im not convinced about the way Bohley- Clearlake are running the club and the way they have trashed the legacy built by Bates, Harding & Roman.
COY Blues, KTBFFH
I don't hear anyone going on about the process except those morning about it. Everyone, Arsenal, Liverpool, City Nottingham Forest, Everyone is always going through a process. You can never stop working on a team, when you do you fall behind.

Nick,
We are at the half way point, 19 games, into the 23/24 season.

Hi JfdI,
Please excuse my sensationalist approach, but you know it does jog interest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally I don't even think about it, values, net spend, gross spend, amortisation etc is purely down to ownership and is something I cannot influence or have a choice in accepting or not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think spending has to cease due to FFP.

I don't hear anyone going on about the process except those morning about it. Everyone, Arsenal, Liverpool, City Nottingham Forest, Everyone is always going through a process. You can never stop working on a team, when you do you fall behind.
