I am in the frame of mind where away games scare me right now. We have the tools to take most teams apart, home or away; let's use them.
Just an afterthought from PNE - credit to Pascal for taking ownership of the penalty and putting it away very nicely.
Tonight, not sure what to think, but in the spirit of the matchday thread, I will go for a 0-1, 3 points, Dan James to score.
MOT and a happy new year to you all.

Morning all👍🌞.
So, a difficult one this (aren’t they all?) … and I’m going with a 2-2. Cry and, yup you guessed it, a Rodon bullet header😁.
Morning everyone.
Just want a response from the lads and Farke. This'll
be a really tough game. WBA have got it going now.

Cheers admin once again
Cynic in me sees Leicester, Ipswich, and Southampton
winning easily. And us struggling all match. Then losing
at the death, kissing goodbye to 2023, while seeing the
gap between us and autos widen further.

This is the key, need a response.
Time maybe to shake things up a bit
Darlow
Spence, Byram
Rodon, Struijk
Gray, Ampadu, Kamara
James, Summerville,
Rutter
We battered them at our place and their keeper got them a point. We have to win and we will win 1-0, DJ to add to his tally. That's why we love this club.
Need to put in a good solid performance tonight. We must take at least a point on our travels!
On the one hand I'd be disappointed with just a point, but realistically, I'm not expecting more than that.
Would normally take a point but given that were throwing them away like confetti, we need to start picking up some big wins and going on a winning run. Saints and Ipswich look good value for wins at home tonight, so we need to keep chase.
Think it'll be action packed, wide open with a few goals. 2-3
Would start Gnonto, Byram and possibly stick Gruev in with Ampadu to rest Kamara for Birmingham on Monday.
I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but the first game Meslier will be allowed to play again is the return game against, none other than, Preston NE! I hope Darlow doesn’t make any howlers in the meantime and is so good that Meslier doesn’t get back in the team at his first oportunity.
Hope Spence is at rb today. Have to keep the shots against down because I have no faith in our keeper.
Still going to back us for a win though.
I would change the whole front line just for fun, bring on Rutter and Summerville when West Brom starts to tire.

I agree Maid, I would truly love Darlow to play so well that Meslier is not automatic first choice.

Don't think Darlow could have done much to prevent either goal on Boxing Day, haven't really seen him make a save yet so I am not sure of his capabilities.
Klaesson or Van Den Heuval for the bench?

That's going to be an ill tempered affair ...... can't fooking wait 😏
We are heavily linked with David Brooks on loan. Southampton also keen apparently
Pascal’s injured which isn’t great, the manager spends the team meetings after an away game ranting at the front four for their lack of running but doesn’t change them, wouldn’t be sure Spence will be at RB if Byram is back as i know for a fact he’s not having him at all, need to win so hoping all the players stand up and be counted
Can't see us winning unfortunately, the best we can hope for is a battling draw so I'll go 2-2.
Southampton already missing out on 2 points😁
… ‘tho they’re well and truly knocking on the door
I'm feeling extremely negative about our chances tonight and I just don't see how we'll break their defence down with the way Farke sets us up away to just relentlessly run into brick walls so I'll be amazed if we don't see another Sunderland away performance and therefore I predict a 1 nil defeat and I think I'll miss this one out tonight and come back at ft in the hope we've surprised my low expectations.
Back to our game tonight, just listened to the DF’s pre-match presser and interested to hear that DF sees (saw) Joseph ahead of Bamford and brought Joseph on because of his ability ‘to hold up the ball’. Sounds like Bamford is really done.
