2nd greatest manager we’ll ever have. Well done to him.

Wonder what has prompted this at this time, hope sgt Wilko is well.

I was 18 when we went down all I’d really known was our great team aging and us losing our superiority and then years of dashed hopes snd good players lost in second division.

Wilko wasn’t a popular choice after Bremner but my g-d wgat a great manager he was for us sbd complete Midas tough with transfers in that second division.

Those first 2 years back in Prem we were as good as a time and he improved us.

But the greatest thing?

When I met Chris Kamara a couple of weeks back and asked about his relations with Wilko he showed me texts he just received after Wilko heard his radio interview and immediately reached out to offer him any help he needed.

Great man Howard Wilkinson.

Strachan, Macca, Speed, Batty - you couldn't have a better midfield...

Yep, they’re my top 6 but slightly different bottom order:

Revie (reason = obvious).
Wilko (main reason = top-flight championship).
Bielsa (main reason = promotion to premiership).
Armfield (main reason = European Cup final).
O'Leary (main reason = Champions league semi-final).
Grayson (main reason = promotion to 2nd tier).

For me Grayson nudges it for being successful under that utter c***.

And also giving us FA Cup win at OT and draws at Arsenal and Spurs, on what must have been one of the most meagre budgets.

Wilkinson one of the most underrated managers in the history of English football. A visionary and rightly regarded as a Leeds legend.

It wouldn't hurt the club to designate an area to rightly acknowledge Howard Wilkinson's magnificent contribution to the history of Leeds United by way of a statue and let's face his role of honour for Leeds is hardly going to be repeated in most of our life times.

Yep. Did anyone ever eat in that awful Howard’s at ER? (editor's note: not awful because of anything Wilko did😁).

Just feel fortunate I got to speak to him at Wembley after we beat Liverpool 4-3 in Charity Shield game.
