I agree Ang. They were more potent. I had it down as 2.2 so am double gutted at the late goal.
I offered you all the chance to fund another trip abroad but you were all too miserly. A draw would have been a good result for us. How did we manage to score 4 against them earlier in the season?
Let’s be honest Peterborough were by far the better side today.
Bolton goal v Burton was an abs fluke. Small margins.

Good game. They were better than us.🤔

They were Ang, we can't complain about the result
P played really well it has to be said but I think we lost it in midfield. We effectively had just Bird and Hourihane trying to dominate against superior numbers. It cried out for an extra body in there so by all means bring on Thommo but why take H off?
We had had some luck to get to 2-1 up and we looked a bit fragile at the back at times as both P's later goals could have been prevented esp the winner as Nelson and Cashin twice went for the same ball.
I also thought we looked a bit tired - not surprising really but it was good to see Nyambe shut out their main danger man. He was our MOM in my opinion followed by Wilson who made some amazing dribbles yet again.
We now have to lick some wounds but go again, maybe with some reinforcements.
Just back from the match and I'm disappointed but Posh were the better team. Wildsmith had to do a lot more work that their goalie. I was very impressed with their right back number 30.
I enjoyed the game but listening to Bolder on the way home tended to spoil it a bit. He must be the worst pundit ever. Much rather have Eric.
PS How on earth did I forget Collo? He did really well with not much support and his first superb headed goal capped a brilliant move.
P always seem able to find good players from lower leagues and we should be trying to do likewise.

I've just been looking at their squad on transfermarket. Their excellent number 5 only cost £600k and the number 30 is on loan from all places...Rotherham!
Most of their players came for no or small fees, you are right Chicago we must try harder to get some keen young players.
Good news, we are keeping Cashin.

How do you know?
Just back:
They were the better team and totally dominated the midfield. We didn’t deserve to win but then we didn’t deserve to lose. Two daft goals given away which will make Eiran and Curtis blush when they see them back.
But that’s still 25 points out of a possible 30 - and I’ve started my play-off fund in a savings account, so not everything is bad

Two draws from our games v Posh wouldn’t have been outrageous, but we got three, so happy days.
Still disappointed with the Billy Spart's Circus [sic] defending at the end though.

It was on Radio Derby, Dominic told us.
“ Derby County head coach Paul Warne says Eiran Cashin and Max Bird are not for sale and says the club want to keep Tyreece John-Jules but he’s leaving the money side to those higher up regarding a loan extension. #DCFC”
“ The reports that Derby have activated the option on Eiran Cashin are true. They were always going to but it’s done #DCFC”
Absolute no brainer on all 3.

I agreed with Warne’s take on it. I thought Peterborough were very good. There was a fluidity to their play which I envied. Their wide players always looked very threatening and as Warne said they have the ability to inside or outside their man. I thought Elder in particular struggled to contain Poku. Sibley failed to make an impact and we could do with a player like Randall for them who has a bit more finesse and the ability to keep hold of the ball.
In the end it was a couple of soft goals that did for us which was uncharacteristic after a lot of good defending in the rest of the game. The result shouldn’t detract from some very good progress recently. I also agreed with Warne that we could do with a couple of new players to “support the older ones” as he put it. A winger, a number 10, and JJ to stay.
