Newcastle going to come.park the bus and try hit on the break with Gordon isak and Wilson.

I hope we go full throttle against them tomorrow.

My team would.be to change gakpo for jota

You actually got the team spot on for a change.

As Goofy said, they’re going to park the bus for 90 and will take a draw 100%. So it’s up to us to be on it and break them down. Can see it being as frustrating as the United 0-0 but they will actually have a threat on the counter.

The way this league is going, it wouldn’t surprise me if they won, it’s so unpredictable. But hopefully Salah will be up for it seeing as it’s his last game for a few weeks.

Nah dont see it that way....newcas6dontbpark the bus, not Eddie's way. Stay compact yes, but they will look to score and play more expansive than utd.

if we pull trent narrow as normal newcastle have a big chance.

this failed attempt at inverted full back system.must end

the only way this system works is if wide players stay very wide and ours don't so we play in 2/3rds of the park if we are lucky.

the west ham league cup game was like a breath of fresh air to watch. genuine width and options to pass to.

Inverted has failed when we are top of the league? Also in all the cups?

Same applies to this though Kash. So inverted has already succeeded because we are top and in all cups? We didn't even make too 4 last season with inverted.

But still, I get where you're coming from. I think the changes in midfield have made a huge difference between last season and this season.

I reckon we are still good enough to beat any team while playing the inverted system. It's not the end of the world, but I think there's a decent chance we could be better without inverted IMO.

Im pretty sure we didn't play Trent inverted until around half way through last season when our form was awful. Its been really successful imo

This for me is the most nailed on result of this round of fixtures, even more so than City vs Sheff U.

Newcastle are broken, they have a depleted squad, faaaack all FFP room to spend this window a manager that has been found out and are coming off the back of a deserved beating at home to Forest and just generally bad form.

Liverpool to win by at least 2 is what I will be sticking a fiver on
