James is too injury prone. Good player, but will always miss half the season.
You should sell Cole Palmer. Let him have his dream move to United.
If he keeps you up this season, you owe him that much. If he doesn't, he'll want out anyway.

Don't think that's anyone's dream move anymore!
Yes Brummie you are not wrong, but in the context of a rock and a hard place scenario with FFP, choices may have to be made?
Id rather keep Gallagher and be loathed to sell James, but if it were a choice.
Carrying James for two thirds of every season, for the money he is on , imo, cant last unfortunately.
Happy New year Brummie
I think we should see how his operation goes first Iffy, he's never had the OP before and it may well clear whatever problem he has.
HNY to you as well mate

Chopper, you make several excellent points
Question that hopefully somebody can answer
Was the need to slash wages something that was identified as being necessary from day one of the take over by the new owners?
(in which case why the fk did they offer contract amounts and wages to Sterling etc during that first spree)
Or was the need to slash wages a consequence/result of he amount of money they spent during that first spree and the failure to get CL?
The wage reduction, - 30% - 80m, imo, is without doubt a consequence of the loss in revenue from sponsorship & C/L status.
The first wage spree, Sterling, Khoudibaliy , Cucherrela, Enzo, and so on, contradicts the notion such a severe measure was on the cards / part of the takeover strategy.
Im sure they wanted to get control of the wage structure, the new contracts format are designed to incentivise players.
When all the excess players are trimmed out the club will imo have a mid table wage bill.
