I can only comment on their time at chelsea. Mudryk is getting better each week (Chelsea’s best player today again) and is putting numbers up now. Werner. Was always 1 chance in 5
werner will do till the summer whilst son is away
We already have Richy and Brennan who do similar things right and wrong to Timo, can't really justify another direct bags of energy clumsy forward long term, gonna need to start adding more guile to this front line in the summer.

Yeah chelsea 673 and spurs 476m over last 5
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's still an absolutely staggering amount of money.
More than either Newcastle or Man City.
Throw in the stadium and Tottenham have spent far more than any other club in the country over that period.
kulusevski the only forward who can put his foot on the ball, son the only one who you back to bury a chance.
as a short term deal it's fine but I hope Ange doesn't continue to go towards this Brennan/Werner profile when we need other options

How do you figure that? Seems like you paid a ton of money for Mudryk and we're getting Werner free for 6 months
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mudryk was 62m and we paid about that for Werner
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeez. Yeah if he were anything like that I'd be crying about it.
He’s facking awful 😂 if he was going to Arsenal Spurs fans would be p1ssing themselves

It's the hope that kills you.
He literally only has to be better than Bryan Gil. The hope that he'll be the next Salah should definitely kill someone
Not all his fault of course, Sizzle. Just context init. That 280m ^ net spend was required to sort out the squad. Maddison was cheap but should've been Ndombele or Lo Celso. Johnson cost us a whack and should've been Sessegnon.. And we still need another decent chunk on a CB that should've been Sanchez..

Bryan Gil's understanding of the offside rule would have to be pretty bad then.
You'll need to drop that D line a few metres to create space for him to run into, without the conditions to utilize his pace he's close to useless - do create that space & he can be useful though/a pest. Also never flourished as a lone striker! The two systems I've seen you play are 433 & 4231, he's never done well in either.
The downside would be bringing him in stops you bringing someone else who'd be better. I'd have tried someone in the youth before signing him but that's just my opinion.
Good business though tbf. Reminds me of our deal for Higuain, unconvinced as I was by the player the structure of the deal was great.
If this is an Ange transfer, Levy's done his part

So..... what about Drăgusin?
Romero out, VDV out, Udogie playing somewhere, we'll be left with Emerson and Davies!
Oh yes AND Porro
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think we'll sign Dragusin, VDV will be back for United, Romero and madders back shortly after that. Once we get Biss, Sarr and Sonny back from intl duty we'll be in great shape.... I think Spurs have the 3rd best squad in the PL after City and liverpool.... I think we'll finish 3rd and win the FA cup
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has been brought in for his pace. Spurs play a defensive high line, with Werner and Johnson on our wings teams will either have to keep their full backs deep or risk giving them loads of room they can exploit - a lot of teams will opt for the former - that then helps Spurs control the game as we have control of more of the pitch and in theory the ball.
This is an Ange signing, he hasn’t been bought to score a ton of goals for us, he has been bought to tactically compliment us - which he does. Goals wise I think it’s now 34 games in a row we’ve scored in - it’s not an issue we have and with Maddison back imminently we should find it easier still.
At the start of Feb we should be able to line up:
Vic
Porro Romero VDV Udogie
Bissouma Bentancur Maddison
Kulu Richy Son
Subs
Sarr
Werner
Dragusin
Davies
Lo Celso
Royal
Skipp
Johnson
Solomon
We will have a serious team all with a decent amount of minutes under their belts ready to rotate and contribute

I’ve seen Spurs win 5 times the trophies West Ham have in my lifetime. We’ve won 6 in the 43 years it took the Whammers to win 1.
Do you think West Ham will ever play a Champions League match Tomkins - even just a qualifier?

At this point... Chelsea are irrelevant and the fact werner played for them means nothing... they might be back challenging for european football in a couple of years.... until then they are about as relevant as Fulham and Palace
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or, hopefully, years of cheating and being funded by a Russian gangster will catch up with them and they will be relegated

was wondering

----------------------------------------------------
Not really. He will make opposition drop back but the nature of the way you play makes teams do that anyway. You need value on the ball from your striker & he's just not that great - too easy to mark, technically average & wasteful in front of goal is being kind.
He's a turnover player, hence did well at Leipzig years ago (the way they used to play). Not a coincidence his best performances for us were all in the Champions League.
All dependent medical, today it should sewn up - he's turned down utd too
Dragusin deal is in balance though

Nothing is more important right now than getting a cb in. Should’ve been done in the summer, absolutely imperative it is done now.
Get a cb and we can push on. Or will we, once again, be left a player or two short of challenging

The only downside is Werner is cr@p🤣😂
