So feels about right he's doing light jogging now. Cant see him playing in a friendly for at least another month though

The way the season is going, the club will rush him back only for him to get re injured

Pretty scandalous. He could die

Better suited to Forest tbh, you don't need an injured player lumbering around if you want to see the green shoots of recovery.

Of course it’s normal, he would’ve had the most advanced surgery possible within a week of doing it and spent the last 4.5 months receiving the best rehab money can buy, I’d be worried if he wasn’t doing ball work by now.

I donno man. ACL is normally 9 to 12 months. Look at Beth Mead and Miedema as recent examples. I personally would not play him till pre season

These injuries are different and far more frequent for women due to the difference in structure of the knee. There is good research on it. Essentially David Beckham bendy legs are good for not getting these injuries, but women often have the opposite which means more of these injuries

Ruptured mine just before the lockdown. 12 weeks till I could walk/jog properly. About 4/5 months I was able to run. Played some training games after 6/7 months before rupturing it further.

“With the correct treatment and rehabilitation, elite footballers can be back to full fitness within 7-9 months.”

“In rare cases, you see pros return to playing football in 6 months. But this will probably increase the chances of re-injury or compensatory injuries – as the structures of the knee and muscle strength are unlikely to have fully recovered by that time.”

My friends been doing rehab/physio for his own ACL injury with Gary Lewin. Appreciate he is no longer there but no doubt is still in contact with staff at the club. He seems to think he'll be back at the end of March.

Providing no additional setbacks he'll probably be in and amongst the squad from April onwards but, having a major injury crisis aside, I'd be surprised if he gets any significant minutes before the end of the season.

I understood he had gone through some sort of "pioneering stem cell injections", or some such.

It's the future.

Well let's just hope we don't rush him. If we are out of the running come April in either competition, I would be very reluctant to play him before pre season. Maybe under 23 or close door friendlies. He looked good when he arrived, would hate for a setback.
