Seems crazy that clubs like United can’t spend genuine revenue, but clubs like Spurs can sink down a £1.5billion debt plug hole putting the long term future of the club at risk.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not sure why you make such silly comments which means you don't get FFP but FFP does not revolve around spending only, but revenue generate by the club, inc selling academy players. Clubs can sped up to a certain limit each season, and many have gone over.

Apologies, for hijacking the thread - just cannot believe how many clubs will fall foul of FFP is mind boggling

Back to this thread. James Maddison is apparently could be in the squad....Take this with a pinch of salt

Apparently, lots of clubs are in deep trouble with FFP, and its latest changes. An announcement is to be made tomorrow, Mon 15th, of clubs that have infringed FFP. Hearing it includes, Villa, Utd and yes....Everton again!

Watch this space!

This is why the transfer market is very quite right now.

Spurs are one of the few who are fine - It helped even more the sale of Kane.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If we had to sell our greatest player to be on the right side of ffp then I will no longer hear about how great we are run as a football club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn'y need to sell Kane to balance FFP. But selling him has made it surety that Spurs are not fallen foul of any FFP

Levy has been running the club very well, and that is speaking volume on the FFP side
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently Spurs had around £400m wiggle room on ffp even before the Kane sale

Who's gonna tell him? Tough decision for Levy but he did in the interest of the club and for profit.

Surely that can't logically be true as FFP is over a 3 year period.

This is correct - we had hundreds of millions of quids worth of FFP space to maneuver in, never any danger of us flouting my regulations. Say what you like about Levy but we all know he runs a tight ship financially. And of course we then sold Kane for £100m, which is logged as pure profit as he was an academy player.

Regarding todays game, not confident with the absentees and don’t see many goals in our lot. 3-1 Utd, would take a point now if offered.

If there's any truth to this for United then perhaps explains why we've just recalled Alvaro Fernandez and sold him for 10m to Benfica.

Finances at the club are more dire than some think I reckon.

Yes we did in that quite a few other clubs couldn't come along to bid for Dragushin, for example. Thee clubs have to sell some of their HG players first. This will mean internally for clubs like Spurs, they could be rich pickings in summer

Be interesting to see what happens. These cubs always seem to find a way around these things. Chelsea still spending a fortune last summer, Arsenal spending 100mill on one player etc

I hope you’re right. Only time will tell

The thing that many fans of clubs like United don’t seem to get about Spurs - when they talking about club finances - is the differences is expenditure on wages. The differences are scary. Spurs have rarely been in the top 5 for expenditure.

Couple this with player sales. And increasing the revenue on the commercial side. Spurs are in a very healthy position. I think we can all credit Levy with this side of things. Even though some of us have largely at times felt he is too frugal.

Not confident of a win but a draw would be a decent result regardless I guess.

The new guy at Utd could reset FFP for Utd, as any new entity taken over a club get a honey period but they have stay within the described limits, but get given that limit again. So not all bad news for utd

Easy united win.

Spurs basically missing their whole spine and will play the high line which will suit unitws who have been a counterattacking team now for the last 7 years
