Europe is still reliant on NATO for it's defence.
The U.S. is the biggest contributor to NATO.
Russia has threatened Ukraine with nuclear weapons.
How do people on here think Europe/E.U. would do in a war against Russia?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Honestly think they'd squash Russia in all out war, problem is nukes would start flying back and forth and Armageddon would come, at least for most of the northern hemisphere if not more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For starters I'm quite sure the U.S. controls British nuclear weapons. Actually scrap that. The U.K. leases Trident missiles from U.S. France have a few. Who else in Europe has any? Apart from that, nearly all NATO countries are or will be buying the Boeing F35 from... oh yeah U.S.A. let's not forget who has allies across the Sahel giving them access all that lovely uranium.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Take nukes out of the equation and the UK would destroy Russia in a war. Russia are a shambles and the UK is among the best.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Europe would destroy Russia. UK alone without rest of Europe? Not so sure.

If the US left NATO tomorrow and then withdraw funding for Ukraine you’d think that the Baltic states would be next for Russia and they’d probably keep going west as far as Germany. Though that all depends I guess on how long Putin has left before he dies and the ambitions of his predecessor. A Putin of 20 years ago with a weakened NATO might well have done all that already
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why though? It's just geographic territory on a map. This might sound simple buy some people don't want peace on this planet. Why fight and kill over lines on a map. When Russia expands west all the way to Germany, then what after that?
These excuses for causing war and death should be getting rumbled by now. Fighting over lines on a map with absolutely nothing to gain.

Poland would squash any Russian offensive if they try expand their invasion of Europe. NATO don’t even need the US to deal with Russia. That’s if you ignore the risk of nuclear war of course
Perhaps Russia put all their eggs in the nuke basket? because outside of that they don't seem to have much else to worry any of the other military advanced nations.

50 years ago maybe. Nukes are the only reason the UK are recognised as a superpower. Russia would never successfully invade the UK but that’s down to geography more than anything.
Forget about Russia, is the UK even that good a military anymore? I wonder if Argentina took the Falklands tomorrow whether the UK could take it back.

Yes we would take it back just as quick as before.
As for the Russian army, just dreadful. Equipment from the 70s, zero funds and lack of food supplies and very little strong leadership, and that is when they are on their own doorstep.
