Ern... North American natives... Australian natives. Kill them enough and it becomes your land.

Palestine Hoopla tires me. Somebody kicked out "Jews" a while ago. Palestine must coexist and on the terms of those in power, till you get the power to change the narrative. The examples are numerous.

What sort of mentally ritarded reasoning is this?

One of the most interesting things about this whole thing has been the level of gaslighting by the media and the Israeli representatives brought out to defend the indefensible. That kind of brainwashing may have worked even as recently as 10/15 years ago but the world is seeing what is unfolding and waking up to the truth of the genocide despite the lies from the perpetrators.

Social media of course has its bad sides but at least the fact that we can see the truth in a conflict like this means the mask really can be taken off what Israel have been doing for decades to the Palestinians.

Agreed, many deceptions have been rumbled but this one is a tough one. It starts from the moment you leave the womb.

The Holocaust is in the curriculum and taught to kids from a very young age and that makes people feel bad to criticise Israel. Most people raised by christian parents and taken to Sunday school where Israel are God's special people, they're more special to God than you and christians accept that. Makes people reluctant to criticise Israel. Israel portrayed as white nation which it isn't, but who cares? etc etc.

And being constantly bombarded with pro-Israel media from the the day you are born, only to grow up and realise it's all a ruse. Some are unable to accept this and change their views.

When you also realise that Zionism and Judaism aren’t one and the same and you see that there are 30 Christian Zionists for every 1 Jewish Zionist you realise that shouting ‘antisemitism’ at any criticism of Israel’s actions is a silly defence mode.

Yeah, and Israel is a state not a religion. There are many Jews who disagree with Israel's moves and Zionism in general.

I agree Israel should have agreed to a ceasefire long since. And should be seeking to use kindness to achieve peace.
Still I do wonder how many attacking Israel on here posted their condemnation of the Arab attack, at the time I mean.

Not a single person on this thread has defended Israel

It's clear what the agenda is on this thread which is pro hamas and you'll stoop to attacking posters personally to get it.

Most people in this Country are reasonably balanced on this and don't take sides. This forum is unrepresentative

I'll leave you to waste your time on further anger rants.

For my part, I made a conscious decision to stay out of the debate for a time because I realised full well what was coming. I think it was actually a few weeks before I made any comment on here.

Not because the attack wasn't savage, not because there was any justification for it, but because a lifetime of repetition has taught me that it will always be the actions of the Palestinians that are depicted as the starting point for any flare up of the conflict.

Always happened that way, and will continue to happen for as long as it's the Israeli view that holds sway with the Western media and governments.

I actually don't think there's as much sympathy as Mamba's making out.

I grew up in a Catholic Christian environment (family, school, church) in a predominantly Jewish neighbourhood, and I can tell you, there sympathy really wasn't great.

Christian Zionism has become a bit of a buzzword in this phase of the conflict, but let's never forget that the Holocaust didn't occur in a vacuum, but as a high-point of centuries of discrimination, murder and persecution of Jews on behalf of all strains of Christian persuasion across Europe.

Antisemitism isn't imagined. It's very, very real. But it is also true that Zionists misrepresent virtually all and any criticism of Israel or of Jewish lobbies as antisemitism, which is also very wrong.

Sympathy for Jewish people is totally different to sympathy for the actions of the Israeli state and IDF.

Sympathy for Palestinian people is totally different to sympathy for Hamas.

I don't see any moral complexity in this: killing civilians is wrong. Currently, civilians are being killed on an industrial scale by our geopolitical ally. We can unequivocally condemn that without supporting Hamas.

Learning about the Holocaust as a child gave me the greatest moral shock of my life, and formed the darkest waypoint on my moral compass. I do think we should try to understand how the unimaginable trauma of the 1940s impacts both Jewish and Israeli ideas of risk and security. But we learn the wrong lesson from the Holocaust if what we primarily take from it is a tendency to side with Israel and accept actions that would be unacceptable if anyone else were carrying them out. The lesson is that violent subjugation, dehumanisation and genocide are the worst manifestations of human culture, and they must always be confronted.

I agree. And Israel path to peace lies in kindness. Giving all the aid needed, help them build, houses, schools, hospitals in what will become the country of Palestine. Give every person equal rights who lives in Israel, as their charter says it would do. And more, kill them with kindness as the saying goes. Then there may be peace, and I would be a happy Zionist.

Jewish people have lived with targets on their backs all their lives. I mean literally. They have survived by knowing how to adjust. Everybody does.

I see many live idealistic lives here so when the brutal reality of the world is exposed to you, you all act dramatic.

I am sure you all know this "palestine war" was something manufactured by 2 groups of minorities in but the Israeli and Palestine Side. Heck The only ones who really don't want this war at least initially is you guys here. Hamas imagined different, So too did Bibi.

Now people are still saying ceasefire when the reality is if any was agreed to by mistake, it will be broken by Hamas not Bibi and the same ridiculous dance continues.

Anyways a peace agreement should have an agreed to 30 years ago. Lets see if Hamas can get back to talking.
