Let’s not forget Schole prowess in front of goal though tbf.
He just about hit double figures twice ever in19 seasons and 5 or less in 9 of them.

Let’s not forget Schole prowess in front of goal though tbf.
He just about hit double figures twice ever in19 seasons and 5 or less in 9 of them.

He didn't have to score goals. We had forwards and wingers scoring plenty. What he had to do was control the tempo of the game and make those forward passes as the right time when there was space available. And he did that brilliantly. If you'd watched MOTD at the time you'd have frequently heard your men Hansen and Lawro waxing lyrical about him. Often dedicating segments of their analysis to Scholes throughout his career.

Scholes has never talked himself up. Its not surprise. Although to be fair, he was a lot more prolific when he played further up the field in his early years.

Just Google Lauren Ashcroft/Steven Gerrard. Its well documented that Bromley was threatening Gerrard because he remained friends with her after they split and she started dating Bromley. Gerrard's dad wrote a letter in support of John Kinsella, saying that he stepped in when Bromley was trying to extort money from Gerrard. Its all documented.

Gerrard was banging a 15 year old school girl when he was 19/20. That's not ok.
Neither is what Greenwood appears to have done. No-one (or very few) have tried to defend Greenwood. I wonder if the Liverpool fans will judge Gerrard the same? I doubt it very much.
