What's even the point of discussing this case prior to the hearings?
Rival fans have suspected forever that City are using fishy methods to gain an unfair advantage.
City fans have defended forever that their revenue sources are legitimate until the opposite is proved.
Nothing's new, and nothing's going to change until the case has been tried. And even that is unlikely to change many people's opinions on the matter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty much this. I’ll say again I think it’s the expenses rather than the revenue that’s the more dodgy one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough. To be perfectly honest, I don't even know what the charges are.

None of them are inflated revenue as such. It’s mainly allegations of off the books payments and disguised equity investment. The rest of them are then either non compliance or failing other rules as a consequence.

Understood. I remember that years ago there was all that talk about 'fair value' or some such on some of the sponsorship deals in the early days. I heard some of the charges were pretty old, so thought maybe part of them went back to those days.

this this an analogy of how this "debate" is going:

Rest of the world: Well, your elbow is the point where you can flex your arm, and your ªrse is where you defecate
Mooky: yeah but show me proof

The charges do but not about the value, Uefa themselves said they accepted they were fair value. Their accusation was Mansour was paying for it rather than the sponsors, think the PL are alleging the same thing - in the absence of any thing else in the public domain, not sure what else it could be.

A question in return for the City fans on the thread.
Do you think/believe City are completely clean, have done nothing wrong?
Or do you think/believe that the case can't be proved?
Because the two things aren't necessarily the same. I think many would be inclined to agree the the latter, very few the former.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is absolutely no way that all of City's income is 100% legit. You would have to be a different level of naive to believe anything to the contrary.
That said. Regardless of where the money came from, it has been put to very good use.
In terms of the case. I haven't concerned myself with it too much. I don't really know what the charges are and I don't really care too much. Accusations have been made and they will either be proven or they won't.

If you are really interested in what the 115 charges are about and not just to fling lowbrow wums, here is a real "debate" between rival fans (one who is an actual lawyer and have done at least a scintilla of research) which will give you a flavour of what the PL charges are about.

Pep walks away and all your top players and with the new financial rules you can't cheat your way back to the top.
And thinking about it more......I actually don't want you to be relegated at all. No Manchester derbies to look forward to would actually be another nail in the coffin of where this league is heading too what with FFP scandal's and VAR.
I think you having all your titles taken off you in the impacted period and them being left vacant would be a much fairer outcome from this. You can't break the rules to the extent you have and get to keep everything you've won.
I suspect a relegation of sorts is very possible though.

The same view was held by UEFA until the original emails were presented at the hearing. It turned out that they were doctored or taken out of context.
Also important to add that emails alone is not a sufficient proof that an event has occurred.
Even if they did send us down to the 7th tier, its worth it for the jouney over the last 15 years.
