What the hell happened here

I deleted them all for two reasons. Many thought it shouldn't have been posted on a football site.
And some thought I had posted it to reinforce my views, which wasn't the case. But the critics hadn't viewed it so I thought I was wasting my and others time.

You are free to post what you like mu52. Honestly anyone complaining about it when all they have to do is NOT click on it really needs a period of self-reflection.

You’re also entitled to your opinion and expressing them. You’re not rude nor confrontational, just ignore those that are.

I watched it just finished infact even though now you removed the link i had it open. It just reiterated what i assumed was the case. The general population being manipulated and used by all sides, neither giving a toss about them their homes or their lives. Ultimately its the innocent civilians who suffer. Of whom often had no say in any of it and when they do its usually through manipulation.

I learnt a lot from it mu52, some tough stuff to watch at times.

The only good i can take from it is that theres still good on both sides within the general populations i mean who want peace want to lvie together etc. Even after all the wrongs on both sides often against them and their families theres that hope from them which is in itself is commendable and inspiring.

I agree, I didn't really see anything to argue about. It was a good report of peoples viewpoints.
I always like Arte.

Wow! I’ve never seen an article go down as bad as this one!
Well first and foremost this is a football forum about our beloved team not a platform for people to push their political agenda or whatever takes their fancy!

Secondly it’s rather pathetic to create such an article and delete all the comments that go against the OP!

Strange choice to delete all the posts in the discussion, 52. Anyway, in case it wasn't clear, mine was supporting your right to talk about non-football topics.

I watched the report and as with most news items on this subject was engrossed, so thanks for putting that up OP.

Never understood why we can’t go off topic once in a while….

The comments didn't all go against, far from it, see above and below. There was nothing contentious. But I was surprised how many didn't want a non football article. I thought I could delete the post, but couldn't so I deleted the comments.
It's still there to be read and is excellent imo.

You're right RR. I just felt people were unhappy about another on Israel. I should have ignored them and let it stand. Live and learn. I thought the title Hamas would have been a clue.

In regards to the article I am completely with you. Shouldn't have let them get to you and I don't know why people keep bringing it up. As you said, the title of the article is Hamas. Why click on it only to complain that it's about Hamas?

Fecking attention seeking caaants IMO.

That’s bollox. There’s already umpteen articles about this subject and last time I checked this was a football forum, not an Israel Palestine forum. People come here to read about and discuss football, not be bombarded with everyone’s view on politics, religion, war etc etc. There are limitless other more appropriate spaces online for that, and even other places on this website more appropriate than the PL Football board. The PL board has been allowed to turn into a combination of MumsNet and current affairs, it’s ridiculous and needs reigning in.

Look. You only air views of religion and politics if you want an discussion that can easily turn into an arguement. Everybody knows this.

You also cannot expect people to bite their tongues and not reply with a counter arguement to the arguement you are making, or cancel people which on here is deleting their coments and even filtering if you dont like what they say. Especially by stating that in your opinion there is not counter arguement to the piece that is highlighted because 'it's fair and not contentious'.

Also asking people to scroll past articles due to 'clues in the title', well this is actually called the JA606 Manchester United page. However having said that Im all for for off-topic articles and discussions on here. Just dont delete comments you dont like unless you think they break the rules. Or notify Admin.

This thread looks like the death throe of Culer! LOL

"Bombarded with everyone's views"

That's not what's happening. It's one article out of countless articles about a relevant current affair. People will use the forum for whatever it is capable of being used for and it's not like the added activity on the site is a bad thing for the site and admins who run it.

I don't understand why you cant just jog on to the next article. I do it all the time to articles I'm not interested in. Seeing as this is a public forum on the internet, my mind tells me to occasionally expect topics I dislike or have no interest in. The expectation is that in such a scenario I will leave it and move on to one that interests me.

Nevertheless, we're sorry that you're offended over an article on a football forum on the internet.

I’m not offended, stop being a facetious dimwit. You know full well what I mean, and it’s not occasional - if it were it wouldn’t be an issue, it’s every day. I have suggested numerous times that a politics page be created for this type of thing - the site has existed for 12 years or so now and no longer has to be an identikit replica of the old BBC606 one. It would retain the traffic on the site while not clogging up the football board with all this irrelevant sheite that not everyone wants to read.

I don’t wanna have to scroll past articles about war, religion, politics, movies, music, RIP every Thomas Richard & Harold that happens to snuff it etc etc in order to find football related articles on a football forum. It’s IS a football forum after all, not a public whatever random thought you have in your head or subject you want to discuss forum, and MU52 is the biggest culprit. If you haven’t got anyone else to talk to about that sheite then go down the pub or phone the Samaritans, don’t waste my time with it.
