Lastly, away from the main topic...
I'll touch on Jose...I say this in the nicest possible way, Jose Mourinho MUST stay in the past...in no way, shape or form should he return for a third stint, pray he secures his next job swiftly whether that be in Saudi or one of the Portuguese speaking international jobs Brazil or Portugal. No time for his messy outdated ways. (Doesn't stop ex players harbouring and championing third stint, even if they know deep down not in the best interests of the club and therein lies the problem)
Keep him at a far distance away from the club at all costs!
I trust the direction of the current regime, not to even consider going down that route again.
Remote possibility reoccurs under Roman' previous regime.
I'd lose all faith in current ownership if he (or Conte, Sarri, Tuchel for that matter) rocks up at any point in the clubs future endeavours.
A good point. The media is full of contradictory messages like these. A good example of click bait.
Gallas wasn't particularly great at full back and ended up forcing a move away - as it turned out - to Arsenal. So he seems to be speaking from experience
I don't get the degree of backlash towards Pochettino playing CB's at FB either. Strikes me as something where if a manager seen as "pragmatic" did it, it wouldn't be raising any eyebrows.
I suppose in the modern age where FB's are practically utilized like playmakers (certainly at top clubs) it can seem outdated, but the perception Pochettino's clueless for doing it I just don't get, it's a perfectly valid tactical ploy that's been used for decades & there's limitations in this squad that justify it at face value - our best CB (and player in general) realistically needs a back 3 but we lack effective WB's/the two we have are sicknotes! Our most experienced winger doesn't tracking back! Our two most expensive players (and therefore kinda need to play) are DM's so a back 3 in possession creates the M shape that's good for build up!
A team is a puzzle of ideas (quoting Jose there) and that's one way to combat some dilemmas with this one. Other ways exist of course, but Pochettino's not doing something lacking in logic here.
Zein, Gallas was an excellent C/B for Chelsea i can assure you, he reluctantly forced the moved due to his unfair treatment regarding his wages.
Players generally get played out of position due to the imbalances in the squad.
The utility player
Ballack played his whole career at Chelsea out of position so that the squad could accommodate him and Lampard.

Don't know where that misguided notion came from...
Make no mistake, Gallas was formidable at Chelsea playing fullback.
Massive part of the reason team won matches with crucial interventions, astute marking defending wide, trademark big goal poaching at the far-post, competing latter stages of Champions league, conceding fifteen goals (only six from open play) and lost only once the very next season in the league...indispensably great.
Lost his way after leaving.
Cole had a lot to live up to and he did just that by managing to overshadow Gallas' vastly undervalued time at Chelsea.
Yeah, at the time i thought the club treated him abominably, he was on 75/80k whilst the other big earners were on 125> 150k per week.
Agreed Gallas was undervalued by the club

I very explicitly said nothing about him not being a great CB at Chelsea.
But he was on record as being unhappy playing out of position. Hence why the OP's criticism makes little sense when clearly Gallas is speaking from experience.

It only makes his opinion less valid, potentially. Maybe he us just being a little sore after howbhebfelt he was treated. I wouldn't blame him but as Devil and Tom Jones said, its not unusual.
