Always thought he looked technically good. Just looks like he's only just learned to run. He's terrible at heading but as you say, gets the ball out of his feet quickly. I like him.
Looks a good deputy for Ampadu. Like what I’ve seen this last two games.
It's a relief that like Stoopo says we have an able deputy for Ampadu, but as soon as Struiyk returns to CB Gruev will be back on the bench with Ampadu and Kamara the first choice midfield duo.

Agreed but that’s why we have a squad. We might get injuries in the run in and of course we have Eater to come as well as a cup run to the final 🤣🤣😏
Players need time to settle in at new clubs especially when moving to a different country.
Best to hold back on judgement until they have a few games under their belt but he's looking really good
Said he was starting to look good on match day thread.
I’ve only read one negative comment about Gruev on here. And that was one poster questioning my comment
Where I said Gruevs a good player who for whatever reason he’s not get much playing time. I feel like posters
Have been positive toward him and saw a player.
He also has the look of someone who would’ve fit
Perfectly in a Farke Norwich side. Good engine.
Smart player.
Agree he’s been good. You need to give new signings, especially from abroad and young time to bed in
This is the key part of the season for teams wanting promotion. Where you can’t keep relying on Rodon, Ampadu, Rutter and Somerville.
We need others to step up. Bamford and Gruev are showing that. Both critical in this form as key positions
He looks a tidy player now. I didn’t not rate him but thought with Gray, Ampadu and Kamara he’d struggle to get many minutes. Deserves to keep his place now
He was excellent last week at Cardiff, that was the first time I had seen him pass a ball forward more than 10 yards. The club app or website had him in the spotlight and he sprayed a few lovely 30/40 passes.
Done well last two games, very very one footed but would have him over Kamara and does move the ball well,
Wonder if Jonty will admit he wrong about him. He crucified him on here
Very tidy player and passes with good weight.
Miles better than a poor Kamara today and may well force himself into the starting eleven.

It's easy to be negative about players when they are not given the opportunity to play and not show what they are all about.
Lots have been very negative about Gyabi but he hasn't let himself down so far at Plymouth.
I recall that Jonty's critique is that Greuv tends to just pass sideways, taking the easy option, I think at the time it was accurate, Farke wasn't letting him do much more. Is that more of a criticism of our manager's limitations that Ilia's.
Hes a good option in midfield if Ampadu isnt playing. I think they are very similar and the issue was when he played before he played with Ampadu.

Hang on, you’ve been banging on about the squad been poor, and outside first 11, its got nothing 🤷🏻♂️
The last couple of games have shown that Gruev is definitely not a dud. It's not surprising that we're all a bit jumpy about new signings from the Bundesliga, given what happened last season.
Not only our Bulgarian international not a dud, but he seems very capable of doing a very good job for us. He's ambitious, speaks well, is obviously intelligent. He gets stuck in but can also pick a pass.
Given he's only had a couple of games so far, it's too early to say for sure, but he seems to be finding his feet.
It's a cracking result against PNE - I'm still buzzing!
Don't think I ever said the squad was poor, just challenged the notion of strength in depth, quite different, two changes forced on an inflexible Farke do not disprove that.
Prove me wrong by showing me a substation that Farke has made that has changed the outcome of a game.
apart from yesterday of course
Where we are at is probably the best starting outfield 10, fully fit in the league, Spence, Rodon, Struijk, Byram, Ampadu, Kamara, Summerville, Piroe, James and Rutter. Add to those a couple of others Gray and Gnonto.
Beyond that I struggle to see a starter, a player from the bench who can excite or change a game or the strength in depth.

this not you 🤷🏻♂️
Subs are on Farke, either just chucks aload of forwards on or brings them on too late to get into game

this is my big worry with Farke.... shown great man management, great with the media, never seems rattled... but sometimes I'm not overly sure on his tactical side. Subs is exactly that, "we're at 1-1, lets throw on 5 forwards"
not sure about him
