i don't think there are many players in your team that despite injuries would be dropped for an opposition player.
take last night for example, you have injuries, who would you trade from hibs starting line up?
our issue is in the dug out, christ ange got a tune out of taylor, ralston, and other poor players.
And what toll has it taken on you exactly?
------------------------------------------------------------------
You are kind of missing the point.
I am giving credit to Clement for the fantastic job he has done despite the injuries.
Yes I think we could have won games by more goals and yes we might have taken something out of the celtic game.
Its all conjecture though.
Take the Aberdeen final. Terrible game but we scraped through. We played that game a few days after a really tough away match against Betis.
If we had any real options we would have been able to rotate players, freshen up the team and maybe play with a far better energy. Instead we limped through with our back up RB playing in centre mid. Again.
Who knows how different it could have been. And frankly I dont care and its not the point.
The facts are we have been missing a significant number of players for every match this season.
All I am doing is giving Clement credit for what he has achieved so far - especially in the circumstances.
In my view he very much deserves it.
Would be disappointed if others didnt go out of their way to disagree in the face in fairly solid facts.

My point being quite simply that it hasn’t “taken its toll”. You’ve had a remarkable run of results on both the domestic and European front with one blip against Kilmarnock.
So other than you’ve had injuries, what exactly (yet again) is this “toll” being bandied around?

it really isn't. all you need to do is beat the teams you are supposed to.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Reality is that it isnt that easy though. And it never has been.
Plus constantly playing with 6 or 7 players absent makes it much harder.
Turning round a team so low in confidence, that had looked clueless all season to the point the manager was sacked, whilst still having a horrendous injury list is a terrific achievement.
We absolutely lack quality in the final third and its even more of a problem with Sima out. If we can get a couple of good ones in then who knows what might happen?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting the points he has is terrific. Turning round a team low on confidence is not. Fact is Beale was such a chump he had the easiest job in the world to turn it around. Lennon could have done the same job ffs compared to the idiot Beale. It is not called a new manager bounce for nothing.

I don’t see any “toll” at all. Injuries are to be expected. Especially with both our clubs playing so many more games than the other teams and many at a far higher level as in Europe.

He doesnt always continue to play the same guys though.
Yes - where he has had no option he has had to play some of the same players.
We literally had no more midfield players to play for a few games when Jack, Raskin, Cifuentes, Lawrence and Dowell were all injured at once.
Thats why Sterling ended up playing in midfield.
We have had to play Dessers at CF because Roofe and Danillio have been injured.
Even looking to the youth we brought Lovelace in and he got injured.
Clement has literally had minimal choice middle to front for weeks now.
Hes managed it exceptionally well IMO.

And Clement deserves credit for steering us through this period of injuries and minimising any impact.
That literally the whole point of what I am saying.
But despite there being no great 'toll' (as I have never ever claimed) I think you could see a scenario in a position where we could be able to go top of the league by winning our game in hand.
But these would all be nice to haves at this stage.
I think it has potentially impacted us but Clement has done a terrific job of minimising that impact.

And btw I never said great toll either.
Nothing is being made up here. Just tell us what this toll is and why you just keep referring back to how Clement has been so much better than Beale. It’s not exactly a difficult thing for the new manager to achieve is it?
Just tell us what this toll is. Quite simple I’d have thought.

Pure conjecture on winning the game against Kilmarnock. It happens to us too. No guarantee that having a couple of players back fit would have changed that and I highly doubt all those maybes would have changed.

You are right - deffo not as much of a side splitter as 'celtic fans think your stadium is a bit dull'.
Where clement deserves praise is this new manager bounce point.
He has been in the door around 3 months, the manager bounce theory usually lasts a few weeks then normality mostly kicks in.
He is beyond the bounce timezone and is gathering points at a better rate than Rogers has.
Might not be enough, celtic might pull away and fair play, but the board were to blame keeping beale far too long.
Rangers could already be in front if clement was brought in sooner, so to be on the coat tails of celtic whilst let's say having to scramble players around is a credit to how he manages.
We dont have the squad at this point to win the league IMO.
Missing Roofe, Sima and Danilo for all/most of the remainder of the season is too many goals out of the team.
It may be revisionism but I have sympathy with Beale if it is true he said he didn't want to be manager, only coach and that he was dropped in it to buy the players if he said he wanted a DoF to do all that. Still, we've all had to step up in our jobs at times.

I don’t see any “toll” at all. Injuries are to be expected. Especially with both our clubs playing so many more games than the other teams and many at a far higher level as in Europe.
There is no toll
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again you are missing the point and just making stuff up. I never said 'injuries have taken its toll on us'. There is no-one 'banding about' a great 'toll'
I made one mention of the word toll and I said 'having 6 or 7 injuries can take its toll'.
Not great 'toll'. Well done Phil
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So what’s this toll your 6 or 7 injuries have caused?
And btw I never said great toll either.
Nothing is being made up here. Just tell us what this toll is and why you just keep referring back to how Clement has been so much better than Beale. It’s not exactly a difficult thing for the new manager to achieve is it?
Just tell us what this toll is. Quite simple I’d have thought.

Should have read.....
But despite there being no great 'toll' (as I have never ever claimed) I think you could see a scenario in a position where we would have qualified for the knock out stage of the Europa earlier, won the cup final far more convincingly and to be in a position where we could be able to go top of the league by winning our game in hand.

Pure conjecture on winning the game against Kilmarnock. It happens to us too. No guarantee that having a couple of players back fit would have changed that and I highly doubt all those maybes would have changed.
That does not constitute a toll. You won the cup and topped your group. No toll.

i think the only acceptable answer here ginger is to admit that clement is a genius who has managed impressive victories against the other teams in Scotland despite having injuries.
i suppose the only thing left to do is to decide where to build his statue?

Nah...you are just being weird now.
I am pretty sure you really arent this daft unless you have given Timmy your log in.
You are just at it now.
Saves a bit of the riddy over your panty wetting over the non-existent claim of a 'toll'.
Toll-gate over for me.
