Personally i hate xbox pads. they are far too heavy, the sticks are in the wrong place and they're the wrong shape (just too square).
add to that a less powerful machine, no bluray drive and paying for online and you have to wonder how on earth microsoft have ever managed to sell xboxes. the ps3 is superior in every way, unless you want to play halo or forza.

Just don't enjoy the ps3 as much! Plus I do a lot of online gaming and xbox is WAY better online!

ps3 out sells xbox 3-1 worldwide, so you'll always have more people to play against on ps3
Its got more support and runs a lot more smoothly. We dont have to worry about our card details.

yes, but the xbox was out a good while before the ps3. since bluray won out over hd-dvd, the ps3 has been outselling the xbox 3-1.... it'll take less than another year before the ps3 has more total numbers.
you only don't have to worry about card details because no-one has hacked it yet besides, i don't have to worry about mine, cos they don't have them. so n'er
Other than the outage when they got hacked (which, to be fair, could happen to any servers with a clever enough hacker) i've never had any issues that lasted more than an hour or so for maintenance.
I just begrudge paying to buy a console, then paying for games and then paying again to actually play the games online. i think it's taking the p....
I think the quality that you get from Xbox live for a small yearly cost is good. I dont mind paying £2.50 a month really.
I do envy PS3 fans for MGS though. Heavy Rain looked good as well. Other than that I think Xbox has won with the exclusives. Thats just my opinion though.
Xbox won this (In the West at least). The only place Xbox has fared poorly is in Japan. Nintendo and then Sony dominate there.
I've all 3 (Wii, PS3 and 360) and much prefer playing 360 over the other two. PS3 will eventually outsell 360 due to winning the blue ray but for online experience, xbox blows ps3 out of the water. This is why 360 has won in the west.
I think there's two main reasons why xbox won the West.
1. It came out first so loads of people went mad for the hype
2. It was sold with a dedicated headset, PS3 users have to put up with a mix of bluetooth or horrible wired things - meaning most of the time people don't use them. Anyone that plays COD will tell you it improves the online experience a lot.
Shame really because objectively the PS3 is a far better piece of kit, especially the original 60gb version!
PS3 is a better kit for sure, but other than the RROD issue the xbox preforms better overall (opinion). I've had so much problems with the PS3 and Sony that it has really put me off it.
Besides, its not how powerful your console is (as there really isn't much in it between them) its the games. Xbox has more exclusives and better games overall compared to PS3. That and the online play won them the west.
