Alonso seems like the natural choice for them. Ex-Liverpool and showing really good signs as a young manager. If he wins the Bundesliga this season then what an achievement, similar to Klopp winning with Dortmund.

He's obviously going to do what he can to leave us in as good a position as possible. Got to have faith in him to do that. Go for Xabi Alonso I reckon.

Might as well sell Salah to the Saudi's and give the manager the proceeds for a rebuild.

Although you wonder if him breaking this news mid-season could have an effect on their performances.

Apparently Kane needs to leave Bayern to win trophies. He’s got a round of golf booked with Neville for July

I'd say a positive effect if anything. If he told the club in November then I wonder if some of the players already knew.

Klopp is an absolute class manager and one of the biggest reasons behind Liverpool's resurgence.

and that is Liverpool's biggest problem, replacing these "end of era" managers is difficult. You are removing one vital ingredient of the success.

I can see a big Saudi money move for Salah in the summer to give the new man some financial headroom to build something, but i doubt that will happen over night.

I also think a factor maybe Liverpool's financial position. While strong, it's not strong enough to truly continue to challenge City or even United if they get their shiiiit in order.

So some decline will be inevitable. Just look how Utd and Arsenal struggled to replace their icons.

Good news for the rest of us but quite sad to lose such a personality from the league.

I'm thinking back to when Redknapp was linked to the England job and many said our performances suffered as a result and never really recovered for the rest of that season.

They'll probably be motivated by it. Imagine they'll push City close for the PL (won't win it) and will then probably drop back towards the rest as Alonso establishes himself. City will have the PL to themselves for the next 18 months until they get relegated.

De Zerbi or Alonso and they will be fine.

A bad day for the league.

The most box office manager on the planet. Really interested to hear from him at 3pm.

Is he finished or will it be a career break?

He's only into authentic clubs so we can rule out PSG. Think the PL journey is done.

Bayern - Would he do that?
Real or Barca, possibly Atleti?

The box-office move is to make AC Milan great again

Arsenal haven't really struggled though since they were already going downhill with Wenger there. They're in a better position now than back then with him.

Agreed but he renewed Liverpool from a former giant to a current one again.

AC Milan need that.
