Nothing wrong with Jose and LVG appointments at the time. Both fantastic managers with great CV's.
The problem for us has been behind the scenes. Its all been wrong so it didn't matter who the manager was in all honesty. It was never going to work. Probably why Klopp said no when he was asked.

Completely disagree, utds traditional football has always been energetic and front foot, wingers marauding and mf flying in support, Mourinho was the opposite of this...solid, stable no risk we will win 1-0 then shut up shop.

Yes. Absolute no excuse for appointing Mourinho at the time, he was a known quantity by then and a terrible fit for United. LVG was more of an unknown (despite having been in the game for as long as he had), could've gone either way but obviously went south pretty quick.

As will the book of ""ffp charges resulting in M City relegation " coming soon at a drug den in manchester.
Lets just wait and see how things pan out 1st. Its easy now with hindsight to say utd made a mess of appointments but at the time moyes was seen by most "experts" as the natural choice, hed built a pretty solid reputation in the premier league. It would pretty similar to us appointing de zebri.
Lets face facts, unless we appoint pep, our manager is going to be a big step down from what weve been used to for the last near decade. We are losing an absolute elite manager.
Theyre arent many choices out there really. Xabi and de zebri seem the obvious ones. Reality is both of them come with big risks attached.
Im struggling to think of a manager who has the personality and instant respect factor that klopp has thats also attainable. Diego simeone stands out but his style is nothing like what we are accustomed too so its probably a non starter.
We always knew this was coming somewhere down the line but its come about 2 or 3 years earlier than id hoped. Im abso gutted I cant lie. Honestly no idea what will become of us because klopps impact on this club really cannot be understated.
Lopetegui is still hanging like a bad smell. So, be warned.

I wonder if the Norwich fans will respect the minutes silence today.
Norwich don't play today.
Last game of the (standing) Kop: Liverpool 0-1 Norwich.
Destiny awaits.
Will be interesting if new manager can cope with the limited budget which Klopp has had to work with. He must still have some Coutinho money left.

It certainly was. Pep doesn't care about the cost of ins and outs unless it's personal.

When is the hearing again
Whoever it is will not be better than Klopp
this article only shows what an ownership and executive level that knows nothing about football can do to completely mess up a club.
fsg's history is weak.
they sacked Hodgson who was only ever a holding cheap man for g&h. they appointed Dalglish as they has no clue and he was there available.
they sack Dalglish thinking he's a dinosaur and appoint a "young and up and comer" listening to ayre and such. they sack comolli over suarez.
thry sack all of Rodgers staff but keep him and then wait for klopp and go get him when he was finally ready.
the question is why did they appoint klopp and where was that lesson learned? was it Gordon or Edwards or that?
as of now they have no technical director to advise them.
they have this experience so what do they do (aka gordon)

I didn't realise Liverpool paid Klopp £43m a year.
