Goes without saying but worth mentioning that on the evidence presented...current squad IN IT'S DEPLETED STATE not built to cope with multiple high-level matches per week.
(Poch doesn't help himself sometimes by not acting accordingly on players that are over the limit on workload and/or patently fatigued, in need of freshher legs on the pitch).
Expanded alot of energy over the course of Middlesbrough and 60 minutes of the Villa match.
Villa predictably gathered momentum in the match, due to our goalscoring inadequancies and their fresher legs.
February 7th / 8th or February 21st / 22nd.
Hopefully on the 7th of Feb. Don’t want it near the League Cup final.
You could tell on 70 minutes that we had played 3 days earlier and they had had 12 days off. Up until then they weren't much in the game. Be interesting to see how we cope with a simillar schedule.
Yep, imperative that Poch makes strides in the game management (thinks on his feet) expeditiously before circumstances get worse, as match schedule will only get tougher from hereon in.
Controlling the workload appropriately will be one of key factors to achieving objective(s).

The kids are young and enthusiastic, experience will help plus injuries and afcon limit game management to a degree currently. All 3 of these things can and will improve.
