Probably not due to his RM connections but his Dad played for Barca.

Alonso gave Madrid some years of excellent service, and Madrid paid him handsomely for it, but some fans get so wound up with their own sense of club loyalty that they forget that for players and managers football is first and foremost a professional career.

There are bridges built and bonds formed that make it easier for someone to wind up managing the clubs they once played for, but it doesn't somehow tie them together for the rest of their lives.

You’re right, but I’d say the fact that Barca are an absolute shambles of a club at the moment would suggest it’s one of the most unlikely destinations for Alonso at this stage of his career.

Don't think stoke are getting promoted .
Maybe you should be worrying about getting past Newport in the fa cup.

Klopps spoken before of not wanting to manage all his life. Though im with Guardiola, he will be back. I think he will miss it too much. But if its within less than a year out ill be disappointed for sure.

Never know, one day he might return to us.
