Big players are back and the rest will be back soon, so we now need to go on a run.
I predict we’ll finish 4th (but would take 5th)
A top 4 finish would be a great start for Ange in his first season in charge.
I agree OP, less than 5th now would be incredibly disappointing.
We’ve got a good run of games now, 6 of our next 10 are against the bottom half - 6 home games. We will have a near full strength squad in a week or so I believe. We simply have to win most of them.
I’m confident though that at the very worst we will qualify for Europe - but suspect we will be between 3-5th
After the start we've had, where we are currently, not having ventured far in the cups and having only league to focus on, then yes top 5 is the absolute minimum.
I would say that we should now be looking to push on towards climbing up the table and being involved in a title race. I know that is dependent on the form of other teams but with players coming back from injury and our path being clear with only one focus, it will hopefully give some room to catch up.
I knew sizzle was sandy
I can’t see ye finishing lower than 4th. Especially now with 1 game a week. Also the other competitors (villa aside this season) don’t look up to much
Top 4 finish for me
Though how was this goal given when you see the foul as clear as daylight see
https://theboyhotspur.com/absolutely-hysterical-fans-fume-as-new-angle-shows-guglielmo-vicario-was-clearly-fouled-by-dias/
Top 4 is within our reach and when you think many of our players are playing in this league for the first time and many playing with each for the first time, and Ange had barely a season with us, this is some achievement from him.
Hearing Liverpool have added Ange in their list of suitable managers, Ange stock his very high right now and we should ensure he is tied down with a hefty clause.

I actually think Ange fancies our chances of winning the league

I said at the time it was a clear foul and couldn't believe it wasn't given, but most Spurs fans seemed to disagree. But I stand by my point that they deserved the win anyway, and even if we'd limped home to a draw we'd have lost the replay.
To answer the OP, agree 5th should be minimum. But I think we can and should finish higher. I only see City as being significantly better than us, and even them we drew with at their place with a weakened team.
Chuck all the excuses you want but this trophy drought is a disaster for a club like spurs.
It’s mad that we’ve won nothing in 16 years, 1 trophy in 24 years and not been to an fa cup final in over 30 years. That’s a generation.
Yes we are 6 months into a new project but we’re 23 years into the ENIC project.
Still we’re top of the ffp league which apparently means we’re gonna start winning stuff again soon
Media outlets now reporting that Brentford are ahead of us, in the race to sign Nusa… shocking if true!
If we complete the remainder of the season relatively injury free then we should be finishing in the top 4, we have a skeleton fixture list and can concentrate on finishing as high as possible.
Only $ity are clearly better than us so we won`t finish above them, we probably won`t finish above Varpool given how the officials drag them up the league and their will be the inevitable Norbert send off influencing their results also. But the rest of them we can finish above if we get our act together and have good luck with injuries.
I always thought top 5 was achievable before the start of the season and still think the same now. It's the minimum we should be aiming for.

Yes considering the mess Chelsea have been in, it would be bad enough if they won a cup in a season they don't have European football either, but with Poch at the helm, that's just doubly bad.
We should, and maybe need to, have a strong end to the season in the league. With players coming back there's no reason we can't get into the top 3 and close the gap.

Now I 100% agree that top 5 should be the expectation. 6th would not be a disaster, but UCL or Europa. None of that ECL tin pot rubbish.
Our next 10 games with players coming back we should be looking at 8/10 wins imho.
Then 4 massive games Newcastle, Liverpool, Goonz n City
Those others will have FAC, CL distractions as well as PL.
Win those 8 and who knows
