I think Mercedes will go all out to try and make sure he gets number 8 in their colours.
Can't see a lewis and Ferrari relationship working at all tbh - they have to have the dumbest strategy team in the whole paddock.
Its the one thing missing from his CV.
He will bring the experience and race winning knowhow to that team which they have lacked for years.
Could be a beautiful thing, although now i am going to have to support Ferrari which goes against instincts

LH will just overrule any crazy strategy calls, like considering plan D after only a few laps of a race
I read recently that Ferrari have just announced plans to go into yacht racing. That's one of the most leftfield announcements I've heard in a long time.
I wonder where Sainz will head off to. He clearly isn't rated as much as Leclerc, but he's proved to be a pretty solid driver.
Speaking of Sainz, his old man just won his 4th Dakar Rallye... at 61!

wont last.... Hamilton likes too much freedom with marketing and image rights.
match made in hell IMO.
I can not see him going past this next season of failure from Mercedes without retiring to be honest.
F1 is falling massively behind. Even the most basic electric car is faster at accelerating than an F1 car. It would be like 75,000 people going to watch Man U and they have players worse than the players you can go and watch at your local Sunday league pitch. We want to see drivers using cars that have world class performance, not that of a mid sized saloon car.
Who goes to Mercedes is my question?
Unless Ferrari plan on build a car 2-3 seconds/lap faster than the rest of the grid, I can't see Hamilton having much success there.
Why sign a 40-year-old who hasn't won a race in two years to replace Sainz, a very dependable driver in his prime who has a good relationship with the team?
What might this mean for Ineos in F1?

Yeah, my wife's Renault Zoe does 0-60 in 1.7 seconds like the Redbull

He's been rumored to be a target for Audi, for a while now. Can't remember the reason. Maybe something to a relationship with whoever will be running that ship.
Mambs, pekster wants to know if you'll unban him from the live thread
If this season is as boring as the last I won't be watching by the time he moves.
The sport has been a bit of a sham for a while now. We've gone from Hamilton dominance to now the same with Max.
You need at least two equally competitive teams or it's just dull. It's not the same as football where there's other things to play for.
Hopefully Ferrari will have a car that's competitive in 2025.

Supporting Fwrrari just to see a competitive season is was Mercedes forced me to do at times.
Mercedes about lose an entire counties fanbase lol. Suppose people will have to turn up to Silverstone wirt Williams, Aston or Mclaren colours instead.
Drivers make teams, like players often make teams in football. It is easier to get emotionally attached to humans rather than a name and a badge. The Messi/Ronaldo era was a good example of this in football. Follow the player not the team.
If a tennis player was Slazenger, would you still follow them if they switched to Wilson? I'm a huge Slazenger fan so I wouldn't but understand why others would
Got a sky F1 subscription. Never watch it cos F1 is soooo boring these days. Oh and I feel embarrassed for Martin Brundle doing his grid walks which is car crash TV at its best.
Maybe Lewis at Ferrari will give F1 the shot in the arm its crying out for.
I think it's probably more about ticking it off the bucket list tbh. He's spoken openly about wanting to drive for Ferrari many times in the past and I think he realises this is his last chance to do so. It's certainly not based on how competitive they've been in recent years
