The way we’re playing, although he vented it does seem as though Enzo took note!

Ben Nelson looks like he’ll be a right player, can see him going a long way, apparently Man City are following his progress

Amazing turnaround in our conviction to see the game out !

Well that was highly enjoyable. Hopefully Enzo in a better mood after that and the fans start to back him and what he’s done to get us to where we are this season.

People will say anyone could have but I don’t agree. The biggest thing that needed changing was the mentality and he was the right man for that. Well done to him and whoever made the decision to bring him in.

100% Mersey, the way he has turned the Club around is nothing short of a miracle, plaudits to the Club as well who not only brought him in but allowed to him to do the transformation in the way we play!

Like many, I have reservations about how it will work WHEN we go up but that's a problem for another day.

Up the City we go.

There’s nothing like the stupidity of our two of our most shortsighted posters to keep ensuring I throw the odd comment in. Cue Mersey and True Blue - ‘fans’ of the board rather than the club in some ways because they clearly have Rudkins best interests at heart rather than the long term direction and sustainability of the club

After a couple of quiet weeks on here, during which Rudkin has managed to screw up another nailed on transfer and Enzo has childishly threatened to leave if the fans don’t back him, here’s Mersey with another opportunity to remind us all how incredibly grateful we should be for having such great owners after we rolled over Stoke away from home

Now has Maresca done an excellent job since he arrived? Yes he has. But as for working miracles - let’s not be ridiculous. He isn’t Ranieri. He has inherited the most expensive squad to ever grace this division and while he’s done excellently to turn the mentality around, you would back most competent managers to get this squad promoted with this talent. When he gets us promoted he will have done exactly what is expected of him

Of course in the long term, those fans with half a brain cell who actually care about the sustainability of this club rather than the here and now can see pretty much how this will all pan out. Rudkin has elected for a manager to rebuild the club who will never be able to with this style.

True Blues throwaway comment basically says ‘well who cares about next season’ which is exactly the kind of shortsighted thinking his beloved DoF has displayed for years. He should care. As should Mersey. Because this club is building a house of cards and when it comes down next season - there will be no time to rescue it, Top, Rudkin, Mersey and co should enjoy their time in the sun while it lasts. The rest of us remain cautious and concerned

I’m definitely enjoying this sunshine 99. Top top top of the league and a 5-0 away win. So much to be unhappy about 😂

One thing I want you to promise me Mersey. When it unravels because we’re building a style of football that will get us ripped apart next season and re-relegated, and/or when your beloved Rudkin sacks Maresca next season and your smile turns to shock, when our status as a yo-yo club under these clowns is finally apparent - I want you to promise you won’t hide. You’ll face up to your words on here and you’ll continue to post and maybe you’ll have the intelligence to admit you got it wrong

When you do, I’m gonna be here to dig out every short sighted, board backing, Rudkin and Top loving post you ever made and I’ll shove it in your plastic king power loving face

And of course equally - if the reverse happens and we’re seriously building towards Europe next season under this guy, I’ll be absolutely delighted to have got it so wrong. And I’ll be on here to eat humble pie.

In the meantime - I’m looking forward to watch your smug grin turn into utter confusion as you try and frantically figure out what keeps going wrong at Leicester 😂

Well having just read the above two posts 99, I don't think you are totally convinced which way next season will go. You appear to edge your bets towards a disaster awaiting to happen whilst covering your ass slightly in case you are wrong, brilliant.
I'm in the enjoy the season we are in camp. We can sort out how we approach next season at a later date. We don't know what the club might be thinking, is it at all possible they may allow Enzo to get us back to the promised land then stand him down ? bring in Klopp, not likely, but we don't know what they might be thinking. Let's just enjoy "the sunshine", as Mersey and co are doing.

Not at all Appleton. I’ve been really reallly clear about where I think this club is going. Couldn’t have been clearer. We’re set to fail in the long term with this manager and style leading to relegation and cementing our transition from an established PL club with European aspirations to a yo-yo club. I believe we’re building a house of cards here

Don’t mistake my offer to eat humble pie if I’m wrong as me hedging my bets. I just want to ensure Mersey is still around if it does fall apart and I will be if the opposite happens. I’m sure you’ll have bookmarked each one of my posts in any case as you usually do

Reports today bu the way that Maresca has been left ‘very disappointed’ by the whole Sensi transfer shambles. Leicester changed the goalposts at the very last minute having agreed a fee structure they couldn’t commit to

I'm trying to enjoy this season, and mostly have been. I do unfortunately have very similar views to 99p as to where we're headed which tempers that to a degree.

Despite us having a fantastic season, we keep getting
reminders about just how useless our DoF is. First it was giving a long-term contract to a limited player who was loaned out whilst we were in the EPL. Now it's another transfer farce. In regard to that, it's bad enough that we're in a financial mire which means we can't afford to pay a couple of million for a player, but that's not what's worrying- it's that it can't have been a surprise to the club that we might not have been able to afford Sensi, but apparently this was news to our manager; that's appalling communication from our DoF if that was the case.

Looking forward, if we do get promoted - still not guaranteed given the form Southampton and Leeds have been showing - unless Enzo has a magic wand and can make silk purses out of some of our sow's ears, we may be in for a very rough ride with his style of play next year; given that it's likely some significant quality reinforcements will be needed to give us a reasonable chance of staying up, how are we going to achieve those signings in the summer when the club's finances are in such a poor state that we can't afford a £2M deal in the January window?

I hope I'm wrong but I'm sticking with for the time being.
