He’s a cheap GK that nobody had heard of a year ago. You get what you pay for.
Could be worse
His Daddy could come out and cry about his son being picked on.

I would say a back up GK’s dad being unhappy about his son not playing is far less of a problem than your number 1 goalkeeper costing your team goals but I guess it’s that sort of logic that has led to 0 trophies in 15 years 🤷♂️ the jealousy is killing me

You were 8 points clear last season then proceeded to have the biggest bottle job for years.
Keep telling us about trophies tho.

Well somebody had to say it!
You can be sure from here on he’ll be targeted at set pieces. I think he’s a very good keeper, and that he will improve his command of his area. The real weakness is that pressure seems to get to him.

Vicario is quality, miles better than Raya & Ramsdale put together, had a difficult couple of moments yesterday but hasn’t made an error all season and made some unreal saves. By the time you’ve paid for Raya he’ll have cost half as much but is twice as good. Looking like another trophyless season for Lego Head, is he still the messiah?

He’s had a great first season for us and will only get better.
It’s up to Ange to sort a plan out to stop us conceding at corners.
Some are moaning the first Everton goal should have been ruled out but I don’t agree,it was poor defending from us.

Agree it was poor defending. If the keeper is being targeted and man handled by the opposition then you have to address it, you can’t rely on the ref to bail you out - the captain has to instruct someone to get in between his keeper and the player blocking him, give him some protection. I think the goal vs City was a foul myself, but not vs Everton. We hadn’t conceded from a corner all season until the City goal, first time we do some muggy gooner writes an article digging out the keeper, out of jealousy that we scouted a better one than theirs.

is he?
he’s not used to seeing rugby match in keepers zone in any other league
He’s being fouled on which be given as such anywhere on the pitch but refs think oh it’s ok it’s spurs
look at Allison with the same incident and that was given as a foul for them?

Yeah agree with all of this. The City player used his arms to restrict the keepers movement which I thought was clearly impeding him and should've been given as a foul. The Everton player just kind of backed in and held his ground.
For ages people have complained that keepers are too protected, so it can't be both ways. Just fairly typical that when refs decide to let more go we're the ones affected most!
Obviously the next team we play will try the exact same tactic but I'll be astounded if it hasn't been addressed in training before the.
