Arsenal scored 2nd goal when Liverpool were on top of the 2nd half. A long ball and a goal out of nothing.

No complaints about the result. Better team on the day won.
Get back at it and another unbeaten run please. Once we’re at worst 2-3 points from the top by the time we play city we will be in with a great chance

Also bank holiday here today

Arsenal at the Emirates seem to have our number. Yes we won in cup but they should have won that.

Our hardest game out of the way so let's go and tackle this.

We got 4 points from Liverpool this season.

Thought our goal we concede right at HT were bad. You topped that with. Never mind. Move on.

Still 2 points behind.

Hello GT, well played yesterday. Do you think those 4 points will get you some silverware🤔

Anyways good result for your lot and keeps it a 3way for now

You are correct pranks.
We were jimmy white yesterday , but for some reason we just do not show up at the Emirates normally..2 wins in 20 odd years in the pl.

Fair play to arsenal...but its in our hands ...and the gunners have a sticky run of away games , plus they have city aswell as us ....

I’m not too worried about Arsenal tbf, the state owned shiiiit are the team to beat.

Finish above them and you win the league.

This had a similar feel to the City game from the 18/19 season when Sane scored the winner to cut Liverpools lead.

Too often have this Liverpool side failed to take the momentum opportunity in those big title games.

Arsenal had an xg of 3.4 and yours was less than 0.5 tells you all you need to know about who controlled the game and ultimately deserved to win the game.

I didn’t watch the game but heard Arsenal deserved it. What went wrong?

I didn’t watch any football at the weekend actually, couldn’t catch the Spurs game.

Arsenal press in a 4-4-2 formation and have the best press in the premier league. Very hard to break through, and when you do you’ve got Rice-Saliba-Gabriel to try and penetrate, very difficult.

We started slowly but normally we can turn it around in the second half but Arsenal we’re just too good for us on the day and wanted it more. As they said on sky sports, they had too much egde and that can make a difference in games like this.

I don’t think this Liverpool side are anywhere near as good as the 18/19 team though.

If City go on one of their customary runs I can’t see Liverpool or Arsenal for that matter keeping pace.

City aren’t as good as they are now either compared to 18/19. Yes they have Haaland and De Bruyne back, but still think defensively they aren’t as good. Rely massively on Rodri and Dias has been very poor this season.

Plus they will be going fa cup and champions league so a long way to go yet.

We heard the same thing this time last season and they rolled off 14 wins in a row to steamroll Arsenal.

I don’t think this Liverpool or Arsenal side are capable of matching that kind of run if it happens.

posted on 5/2/24

Liverpool have matched their runs in previous seasons and have lost 2 games in the league all season so that’s utter bull.

Read the point I was making and stop having a convo with yourself. Previous Liverpool sides were able to reel off 14-15 wins in a row to keep pace with City. I’m not sure this one can. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong. Time will tell.

Liverpool are on course for 84-85 points this season. That hasn’t been enough to win a league since Leicester. I’d be surprised if City aren’t close to the 90 point mark.

With Salah back and a fully fit squad I think we’ll keep pace with city.

I mean we have all season to date.

Yes but City have a habit of being good for the 1st half of the season and then really putting the foot down in the 2nd half of the season winning most games.

It remains to be seen if this Liverpool side (not past ones) can keep pace.

You just feel that City are starting to get their players back and it will take something very special to stop them.

I thought Liverpool looked a bit subdued yesterday. Arsenal played well, should have been well ahead at half-time, but a very indifferent performance by Liverpool all the same.

Still not convinced by Havertz or Raya for Arsenal, but we'll see how long they can last this time.

Probably just an off-day for Liverpool, but Burnley at home is a good fixture to have next
