"to achieve that we need to be in an optimum position across the whole club, which we aint!"
How do you mean?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Go back 1 year and we were a mess on the pitch, grumpy fan base, protests, fairly poor media profile.
The stadium other uses were ramping up and the stadium is an amazing place so this was all very positive and I am sure partners would have few issues aligning with us on that basis.
But for top value, we need to be better on the football side and until the last 6 months its been a mess since 2019
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Any prospective buyer will look at the landscape of the Prem League, as will Levy, and pay what we are worth.
I doubt Levy is waiting for us to become champions before securing a deal. It's all about eyeballs.
We are still playing in the most watched league in the world. As long as we are selling out now, without any trophies or success that's not going to change much.
Yes a trophy or two will help massively but Levy is realistic enough to admit trophies are a bonus. European football is never a given. Business first with Levy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where Levy is looking for that top level money, we need to appear top level. No brand wants to be associated with a club which looks like a shambles, as we have for a while. So everything needs to be in good order if we want the money Levy wants.
We also do not want to undersell for such a long commitment.
Apart from the season we have been playing in Europe constistently and apart from Covid we have been selling out. Last season was a shambles on the pitch but the stadium has been doing it's bit on the balance sheet and in terms of raising our profile with the events.
But I still think Levy is holding out for an investment before pushing the button on a naming rights deal. Not waiting for football success. Time will tell.

I don't think its trophies necessarily, its just raised profile with us being in the UCL and back challenging for stuff. One of the big players, something we have not been since 2019 !
