Villa have had 2 pretty poor home results in the past couple weeks, hopefully they’re in a bit of poor form and we can take full advantage. Losing Martinez is a huge blow for us, don’t think it was a coincidence that we see 2 of our best performances of the season as soon as he returned.
If Villa play a high line that will suit us to a T, and we could win. But if they don’t and turn up, they’ll beat us.

True, but having Shaw and Casemiro back in and moving Dalot back over to right (his performances have been very good recently btw) also helped massively. In short, if the rest of them stay fit we are much better equipped to deal with the Martinez injury than we were earlier in the season.
As for Villa - could go either way. That high line could well play into our hands again as it did at OT, but I think they might have a bit too much for us at home.
We'd do well to capitalise on any nervousness they have after losing two home games on the trot. After such a good run at home it's always possible to have a bad run afterwards. I'm never 100% with this current United side but if we can defend sensibly and be as clinical as we have been these last few games then we have every chance.
I wouldn’t say 3-0 flattered us. In reality Onana other than a good save early on didn’t have that much to do.
However unlike a lot of our games this season we took some of our chances.

Probably for the best
Just want this season to end already
From a Villa perspective, I was really worried about this game due to the last two performances at home where we were atrocious and not having three of our first choice back 4 we were all over the place defensively, but with Pau Torres and Digne back we should be better at beating the press with Pau's passing and look more solid overall (if they start). Still missing Konsa who has been fantastic this season but I think we can cope with those 2 back.
You've picked up some form recently but haven't looked too convincing (West Ham seemed to miss a lot of chances in your 3-0 win) so I have no idea which way this goes. From your perspective you probably need to win, from ours a draw will probably be fine but I think a win for us will mean we almost certainly finish at least in the top 5 barring a total collapse.
On the Villa game, it is a hard call as they are in a bit of poor form and like 1982 says the loss of Martinez is big for us.
It could be one of our rare draws.
Don’t it’ll be a draw, I see a few goals goals. Two poor defensive units and if Villa play how they did at OT, I’d like to think it’ll suit our attack, but they’re pretty formidable at home this season.
Couldn’t call it to be honest, but if we want to finish top 6
5 a game we need to win.

Indeed, if wolves had turned up in the first half like they did in the second we’d not have won that. You should probably have won the return game but played suicidally high which is exactly the wrong way to set up vs us
Could be anything with us. Absolutely no point predicting. We can turn up and look like a respectable top 4 club and can just as easy look like we are bottom of the league.
I reckon a draw. 1-1 or 2-2.

Yes I hope he has learned from that because Rashford and Garnacho have pace to burn and it’s very risky playing so high up. We’ve had a lot of success this season playing a mid block with a high line catching teams offside but I think we need to adjust it when playing teams who are good at exploiting it. We won’t go low block especially at home but I’d like to see the line dropped a few yards so that you can’t run in behind so easily.
Martinez out is a blow for you and I’d like to think Watkins and Bailey can cause Maguire some issues especially as he’s not the quickest.
United are a counterattacking team. Perfect game

If we had turned up in the second half like we did in the first we would have hammered Wolves.
It is an easy game to play, whataboutery.
Hard to call, Villa are struggling at the moment but our away form has been poor for years. You’d expect a few goals with the way both teams defend.

Got your new manager sorted yet?
I think we’ll get beat.
If only because I’m used to any sense of optimism being quashed immediately, based on the previous 5 years.
I'm not expecting much from those one. I'm not sure it helps us that Villa we're dismantled at home in midweek, or that we turned it around so we'll against them at OT. They'll be well up for it.
Hoping Garnacho, Mainoo and Højlund keep up their form.
Hoijlund double, 1-3 away win.
Could go either way really. A month or so ago, I wouldn't have fancied us at all. But now our forwards are scoring, even if we aren't exactly playing brilliantly as a team.
But I think what gives us a chance more than anything is that since we beat them on Boxing Day, they've dipped and it gives us a real chance

It does, but as process pointed out we haven’t looked overly convincing, I’m hoping they set up stupidly to play into our hands. Otherwise could be a long day
